3-1 England i say.
But errrrrrrr ... on the other thread you claimed to have the best bowlers in the world ... at least Mak of Manchester did !!
So what's spiked that theory?

KP doesn't have the hunger and drive that was there early i his career. The fire in the belly, and the desire to prove everyone wrong is just not there anymore.

England squad - Official
Andrew Strauss (captain, Middlesex)
James Anderson (Lancashire)
Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire)
Paul Collingwood (Durham)
Alastair Cook (Essex)
Steven Finn (Middlesex)
Eoin Morgan (Middlesex)
Kevin Pietersen (Hampshire)
Matt Prior (Sussex)
Ajmal Shahzad (Yorkshire)
Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire)
Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire)
No surprises there.
It's between Huck and Sheherezad for the final spot.
Three Middlesex players in the squad - yet the county lies adrift at the foot of Division 2...
F.F.S.
PS - National selector Geoff Miller said: "We have picked a very strong squad for the first Test against a Pakistan side that will be high on confidence following their recent win against Australia.
WTF is Dusty on about?
The Ashes victory last year or the 3-2 scrape through in the ODI's last month?
I'll have what he's smoking - thanks!

Pakistan may have the best bowling attack but batting and fielding is horrible
Batting is probably 3rd worst after NZ and BD while fielding is THE worst among ALL test countries.

Shahzad out with his ankle injury, Bresnan replaces him. Honest trier is Bresnan. Pity he's not really any good and probably never will be. Explains why England keep selecting him.....

Neither would have played anyway, unless someone treads on a ball on the morning of the game...

From Dickinfo:
"Andrew Miller is at Trent Bridge and he reports the following: "It's fairly overcast so far this morning, so plenty for the captains to ponder before the toss. The pitch is one you'd want to bat first on in ordinary circumstances, but I dare say whoever loses the toss will be quite relieved." "
Good to see more bowler-friendly conditions.

And I see BBC will be covering the match in URDU.
Oh wait, I read that wrong. This Test match will be using UDRS - the Umpire Decision Review System.

England win toss and bat. (under cloudy skies)
I'm off out today but will no doubt come back to a score of 140 all out!

Johann wins the toss and elects to bat under cloudy skies, but on a dry-looking pitch - as per Cricinfo. No room for Bresnan either, which is something of a relief.

I just don't understand whats Pak's fixation with him? Just that he scores some runs? Thats it? How about him to be decentish in his primary discipline?
Do they even know how many chances has he fluffed till now and probably cost them some tests as well?
