I will forgive as long as she retains that avatar for longer than usual
Is it possible for fromage to Rikki an avatar?

Watched the men's hockey replay last night - it was the hockey equivalent of an Australian off spinner bowling to TLM.

Re: The Commonwealth Games
All is well that ends well. Overall a job well done by India. Hopefully it will kickstart a sporting culture in the country as the masses move up their needs hierarchy. Simple nationalism will not be sustainable for sucess in the long run.
Hopefully India has learnt its lessons, particularly with respect to accountability & better sense of planning. Most importantly it would do well to address the corruption issues and clean up some of its.
I was quite worried about the security aspect being next door to those terror havens, the same havens will are causing evacuations in Time square and Eiffel tower, locations that are thousands of miles away with oceans/seas in between. In this regard PC (Indian Home Minister) needs to be commended in no uncertain terms. Battling these terror outfits along with the Communist uprising and at the same time holding such events as the CWG. Not easy at all.

Re: The Commonwealth Games
This if true is quite sad. Just when I was complimenting the Aussie cricketers on the way they took their defeats despite some lingering suspicion it had more to do with securing future IPL contracts.

Re: The Commonwealth Games
Sounds like BS to me.
Australians don't riot when their cricket team loses - they riot when they have had too many beers.
I don't doubt that they carried on like hooligans but it would not have had anything to do with the result of the cricket

Clearly false, the games village didn't have electrical fittings or furniture.

Re: The Commonwealth Games
Sounds like it may not have happened at all.
On reports that some Australian athletes went berserk inside the Games Village after their cricket team lost the Test series to India, a senior officer posted there said that they have not received any complaints from Organising Committee (OC) which owns the property inside the Games Village. "Therefore, we have not registered any case," said a senior police officer.
Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said: "No complaint has been received. We have found a broken washing machine from the block where the athletes were staying. We are trying to establish as to how the machine reached there."

Re: The Commonwealth Games
One of the athletes who has returned commented that there were lots of problems in the village itself, including lifts whose numbers didn't correspond to floors and doors which needed to be permanently locked because they opened onto a six storey drop without a balcony because that part of the housing was incomplete.
The cricket story sounds like *sh!t. As others have noted, Aussies behave badly when pissed but don't generally burn effigies or throw appliances out of windows when their national teams lose.

Seems ol' Red read my post quickly and construed "fighting back from 7 down at one point" as me thinking nettie was scored in points. As a man with three top grade (ex in the Chief's case) netballers in the house, I know way more than I really want to about the game.
Skully why apologise, I get lambasted when I don't make mistakes, usually just for posting so it all glosses over me. If it makes you feel better though, sorry if you were offended by me apparently getting wires crossed by really I was just itching to have a go at these commentators and news reporters who insist on referring to the scoring in netball as points, not goals.

Re: The Commonwealth Games
Meh, I don't care either way. It just looked a simple mistake that could've been easier handled with an "oops" rather than giving a totally out of context reason.
But fair enough on the commentators. Many of them were indeed fish out of water.

Apparently* these start soon.
I heard that Mitchell Starc's brother is a reasonable chance for gold in the high jump.
His name is Brandon Starc.
Which is ironic given that Brandon Stark can't even walk.

meh seems to be the response of Oz...the fact it is on Charnel 10 would seem to suggest it will not be a big ratings winner..
the big question is wil the scotties outdo the poms in the medal count ona popln rate basis...spose another is whether the Commy Games will help or hinder the independence vote

FMD, this was posted in Oct 2010. Is it that long ago that Dello handed over the reins to the cheese sniffer?? That's a bee's dick off 4 years ago (I can't remember what chunk of that year Dello chucked the baton across the Channel). Crikey, how time flies.

I have visions of Hodor pitching him over the bar ...will they share the medal?
