Not sure why DGB doesn't show 52 tests in that last list.
Never mind.
Never mind.

Hopefully that's some serious NSR from you spang, bearing in mind that there was the small matter of World War II which killed Test cricket for six or so years. As well as many Test and first-class cricketers in action.spangler wrote:I was thinking Bradman. 50 odd matches in 20 years? Softcock.

If Bradman had been any kind of proper cricketer he'd have got them to cancel WW2 and organised a few test matches instead. Reckon he just didn't want to spoil his average.

Aye, if Murali had been playing during WW2 he wouldn't have stopped playing matches until the Nazi's had captured Bulawayo and Chittagong.
Re: Ponting's career - in three parts
After the Russkies invaded Afghanistan the Seppoes were thinking about starting WW3 ....but AB said 'No!' because he would have had to stop playing Tests and go and destroy the Communist Bloc ...in 1989 he won the Ashes and tore down the Berlin Wall and stopped the tanks in Tiananman Square ...he also allowed his DNA to be combined with Dawn Fraser's so Ozzie scientists could create Shane Warne

Ponting and Hussey should swap spots in the order.

Aye. Wouldn't be out of place in the Top Aussies wesbite as a description of AB.

He faced Larwood with no clothes on.
He told Jardine to go f**k himself too. Without a box.
