Australia v England, 5th Test, Sydney, January 3-7, 2011 (II)

Wouldn't have expected Bresnan and Tremlett to take the winning wicket in consecutive Tests. This is what makes test cricket so awesome/grouse, it's unpredictability.

Outstanding stuff.

Every victory in this series was by England was by an innings.

Fark, seriously good wins. Not one slender victory in sight.

I wouldn't have him in the ODI squad. He's all right in that format, but Tests are where his skills are best suited. So why not wrap him in cotton wool and just wheel him out for the proper stuff?

Tremlett: in traction after eight minutes with the new ball
Bresnan: eh?

Would never have thought they could win even one game unless Swann had an outstanding series. He didn't, they did.

Aren't injuries a nice way to avoid responsibility. The only significant series win under his stewardship came when Gilchrist was stand in captain and the only test we lost was when he returned.

It's mental seeing so much English support in Australia. Can't ever remember as many Aussies being in England.
