Sir Don spins in his grave as..
the long lost Oz born brother of the Akmal clan disgraced himself behind the stumps last night in the worst and most suspicious display of keeping since K Akmal's display in the Sydney Test.
will there be a News of the World or ICC investigation into Brad/man Haddmal's performance?

Yeah, it's not like Gilly dropping 4 catches at the SCG in a test against India.

That was in his last test at Adelaide, no? I think he announced his retirement the next day, and told Matthew Hayden at first slip he was packing it in right after he put down a simple chance from Laxman.

I was thinking of THAT SCG test because I was watching it live.
From Cricinfo commentary:
18.6
Clark to Laxman, FOUR, dropped, Laxman tries to pull a short ball down leg side and gets an edge on it, the ball flies towards Gilchrist's left, he dives and gets a bit of glove on it but the ball beats him and runs to the fine-leg boundary, it would have been a spectacular catch
30.6
Lee to Laxman, 1 run, dropped, Gilchrist has put down another one, a genuine nick low to his right and the batsman gets a life, Lee will be disappointed after finding the edge from a press forward
102.3
Clark to Harbhajan Singh, 1 run, dropped, Gilchrist lets another one go, Harbhajan tried to pull another short ball, the ball lobbed in the air towards Gilchrist who pedaled backwards and got both gloves to it, he still couldn't hold on

Re: Sir Don spins in his grave as..
3 missed stumpings and a catch in just 50 overs should surely convince Haddmal it is time to go

I was just in the Forum Chat room & folk were suggesting that this couple were Horrie & Red. Is there any truth to that rumour?
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/8197661/couple-floating-on-dolls-rescued-on-yarra
I have my doubts as I am sure Horrie is older than 19.

phurt...not me...i'd just use my spare bag.
so Wally - do you think haddin is such an inept keeper that there is no surprise in him missing 2 easy stumpings (one was hard) or do you think there was something more sinister?

Is the answer to rehire Bradman Hodge, and coax Bradman Hogg out of retirement?

It's the linguistic similarities that busted you, not the geographic pleading.

That's a bit of Cockney that never really took off here ... or if it did, it's since died.
'turn it up' would work ...
