So England need to "start winning things", "play good cricket", and "get on".
Cheers for that Shane, you analyst, you. How much does England owe you for your consultancy service?

WARNEYYY!!!"I think they're now seventh in the one-day rankings, down there with Bangladesh and everybody else," he said at the Laureus World Sports Awards in St Petersburg.

Don't understand how we can be 7th in the one day rankings when we've just had series victories over India and Sri Lanka and are still in this current series against New Zealand.

Re: Warnie sledges England from the grave
Well no. Not really.
We've won our last two series' and before that it was the world cup, where we were more succesful than India and Pakistan. Before the world cup it was the Commnwealth Bank series against NZ and Australia - which we won.
We haven't been total poop since the ICCCCCCCT nearly two years ago.

Well if we're not 7th, we should be.

Re: Warnie sledges England from the grave
I think (don't quote me on this) that the points are worked out based on how many games you win, not so much how many series you win.
And as England only squeaked by India and Sri Lanka 4-3 and 3-2 respectively (and lost as many as they won in the VB series in Australia), they've not really been able to cancel out all the heavy defeats they've weathered in recent times.
If England are seventh (I haven't checked) it sounds about right, doesn't it? They're a shocking one-day side.

Personally I'd have England at 8th with Bangladesh snapping at their heals. They're dreadful.

When you have a bloke accepting an OBE for & runs or whatever it was, there's your standards.
