Well, you could go to Danny's profile, click the "Read all posts by this user" button and then go back through the 16k posts he has made until you find it...Lara Lara Laughs wrote:Brass Monkey wrote:I may be remembering incorrectly, but I'm sure there was a part about "whilst your mates all stand round laughing" which is doubly worse, I beat preggo women for my mate's kicks. Really?! I'm surprised I didn't actually sh!t myself with laughter?
I would love to read your response. God knows what it was. Wish there was a way to find it but I have a feeling it may have slipped off the end of the forum.

Oh come on LLL, it's not the dark ages; threads don't fall off the end. Everyone knows the forum is round and that very shortly those ancient threads will circumnavigate their way back to the top of the page. I think the first one back will be one started by JKL. Something about a chap called Grace I think, refusing to walk when JK bowled him first ball.Lara Lara Laughs wrote: but I have a feeling it may have slipped off the end of the forum.

Wouldn't it be easier to click on Skully's profile and........oh.
To be fair, reading 16 thousand posts by Danny would be much more fun than reading 16 thousand posts by anyone else. If I'm ever bed ridden, perhaps dying of something, I'll have a go. It shall be my parting gift to the forum.

Re: Does childbirth really hurt that much?
Work a horrible office job which makes me want to kill myself most days, furriner. Trying to save to travel but it's not going well because my salary's gash. Was thinking about returning to studentism (mainly because I don't know WTF to do) but the new tuition fees make me want to kill myself too. So yeah - suicide is the general theme in my life at the moment.
How are you?

Nah, the search function doesn't even work to that basic a level. Only finds 257 posts. "Read all posts by this user" indeed...
Re: Does childbirth really hurt that much?
So, to go back to the original question, the answer it seems is 'No'.
Only one woman even bothered to reply and the general consensus among we men is that childbirth pain is far far less than a kick in the b'locks. Probably somewhere betwwen a mildly stubbed toe (difficult birth) and a hang-nail (average one).
Another great question of science answered beyond doubt by the scholars of Flaming Bails. Well done everyone! Nobel prizes in the post.

Re: Does childbirth really hurt that much?
My wife had me jammed between a gas machine and a clinic wall with orders to "shut the fark up" and keep the juice going. And hers was a fairly quick delivery.
So I'm assuming it hurts but as most people (men) on this forum haven't been through it comparisons are poor. Most of the pain of the injuries described (I've been shot) are easily alleviated by hevy duty drugs (morphine etc) which can't be used on a woman during delivery.
So yeah I imagine it really hurts and all you can do is get through it, not talk to the semen donor for about a month afterwards and make the bastard take a months leave and treat you like a princess.

IIRC, skully said that because BM made a crack about drunken forumming. And wasn't there something about hitting them in the stomach?

So can I raise you a hernia Lardy? Wa sstill in the pub 4 hours later.
Anyway was trying to compare with Vilks bloodtest. I still don't think it should have caused all that much pain.

IIRC correctly tac was in there stirring the pot, and somehow Dan's girlfriend got dragged in.

Lara Lara Laughs wrote:I'm probably not doing it justice by the way. You need the context and the correct wording. I think it may have been a cricket related argument and then that came out.
It may have been "Why don't you go down the pub and beat up some pregnant women like usual?".
Forum gold.
Brass Monkey wrote:Aye, I haven't a clue when it was or what it was about, think I was calling him a drunk and he came up with that - pure insanity. Brilliance though, I remember actually being uncontrollable at my work desk - pure laughter. I had no excuse either. Ahhhh, good times.
Lara Lara Laughs wrote:It's the "pregnant" bit that gets me, Danny. Not just a women beater. No. You're a much worse human being than that. What's worse than a women beater? Ah yes - a pregnant women beater.
And "down the pub". Ha! Genius.
I think you guys have it just about right. Danny wound me up something special when I was forumming smashed, and I came out with that complete tosh. Fark knows where it came from, but I remember laughing heartily when I read it after the event. Without word of a lie, I haven't forummed drunk since.Brass Monkey wrote:I may be remembering incorrectly, but I'm sure there was a part about "whilst your mates all stand round laughing" which is doubly worse, I beat preggo women for my mate's kicks. Re: Does childbirth really hurt that much?
And, to be fair, Danny hasn't decked a pregnant woman since.
So, lessons learned and everyone's a winner.

Errr, yes, although some of the comparisons were not entirely serious. Sorry you didn't get that.Bradman wrote:

Of course it hurts FFS!

Giving birth is like getting fingered but in reverse, no?

Apparently it is like being kicked in the bollocks. Every few minutes, for twelve hours on end.ever hopeful wrote:So, to go back to the original question, the answer it seems is 'No'.
