Aus-Zim game under ICC anti-corruption scanner.....
Just saw on TV news. Wonder how true it is? Will wonders never cease? Can only hope it is a rumor or worse mischievous reporting. Don't want the WC to be controversial too much......

So looks like it is true after all. Spot Fixing may claim it's second victim after Pak. Can't wait to see how it plays out:
ICC scrutinies Australia-Zimbabwe World Cup match - LINK!'
Spot-fixing? ICC probes Aus-Zim match - LINK!

Rate at which things are going soon every high or low scoring results may be scrutinized and out of form batters or bowlers looked at with suspicion. Thanks a zillion to the Paksters.
On the other hand Aussies and bookies? Who would have thunk it?

I'm skeptical at the moment... Can't see Haddin and Watson going for that to be honest.

Re: Aus-Zim game under ICC anti-corruption scanner.....
Plenty of fuss was also raised over the India and England match after former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne correctly tweeted seven hours before the start of the match that it would be a tie.
England skipper Andrew Strauss claimed that Warne had shown he was a cricket genius with his correct prediction but others also observed that it was strange how one could predict a tie so early before a match.
Pakistan's former captain, Moin Khan said the Warne tweet could have been just a hunch but felt it had raised questions by many people.
Pakistan's former captain, Aamir Sohail rued that if any Pakistani or Indian player had made the same tweet about having a tied match lot of hue and cry would have been raised in the western media by now.
Pathetic wannabe victims.

Re: Aus-Zim game under ICC anti-corruption scanner.....
To be honest, they have a point about the Warne text. If, say, Salim Malik had tweeted seven hours before and India v Pakistan game that it would be a tie only for it to be proved correct, we'd all scream "FIXING!"
Regards the spot fixing investigation. It's a beat up. They're probably investigating all of the games. I'm sure the Ind v Eng game was/is being investigated as well.

Neither did anyone saw Azhar, Cronje, Warne and Waugh walk down any such roads before either. Hard to tell these days. I am certain Warne's comments on the India-Eng tie before the game and the 2 caught behinds not appealed Strauss with Munaf's botched last run off may also soon come under scanner.

England scoring 338 in the 2nd innings of an ODI is rather suspicious...

If he had nominated the exact score I might have been mildly suspicious.

Well Warnie is a God of many things - God of the spinning balls, God of texting raunchy messages to really ugly sheilas and a God of getting women too bed too much. The last part I suppose is something most married men would envy...

Yes, I am still peed off about the way the BBCI stitched Hansie up.

Hmm, the Warne thing is strange... no wonder Swanny's shot off the final ball was so wundergash....
Re: Aus-Zim game under ICC anti-corruption scanner.....
Ah come on Swanny nailed it, just hit the fielder. Either side by a metre and it was perhaps even four...

Nailed it to cover. I'm convinced the ball was in the air to the wicky before Swannys less than lythe frame got him into his crease down the non strikers end!

Giles Clarke's standing behind you with a gun to your head, isn't he?
Re: Aus-Zim game under ICC anti-corruption scanner.....
I reckon deep down England had just about settled for the tie. If they'd needed 2 runs to tie and 3 to win off that last ball, Swanny might have been a bit more adventurous/expansive.
