Phurt. The bloody last season thread has only just stopped being bumped up here. I try to forget about strines as much as I can. Still, at least you're posting in this one instead of your favourite IPL thread.

Not a bad signing. Griffo was a match winner when he was fully fit.

Interesting that the pic that CricInfo has used is Bellerive which, if used, won't need the lights as the sun doesnt set untill about 9.30pm in mid summer.

Does anyone find CA handing over their balls to the ICC (read BCCI) surprising? I thought it was a well known fact that they did this years ago.

Nice to see one sports body has said that Nein can stick it up their arse. Rugby League should watch and learn. While Channel Nine has argued for orange, saying it would be better for television viewers, the ICC's cricket committee thinks the pink ball has more promise.

the newspaper said that Tamsyn Lewis will be known as Tamsyn Manou, after she marries (ex?)SA keeper Graham Manou. not sure which name has the most stench of failure...

Shame to see Nernie head west but i think his time for the Tigers was nearly up.
Looks like we grabbed one back from the west though:
