Apparently there was a sh!tfest overnight between Katter and Windsor over the effects of the carbon tax on the Trucking Industry, with Windsor saying it would have little effect and Katter wanting to throttle him, such was the mad Hatter's incredulity.

So Windsor single handedly gets petrol exempted because of the distances the country folk travel (without any alternatives) and they have a go at him. Ungrateful qunts.

My thoughts exactly. But that's what happens when the level of debate descends to "he said/she said".
Neither of you are in the trucking game obviously. Small operators have a 1 to 2% profit margin, with the carbon tax slug quickly eating that up. Very few of them are Lindsay Foxs.

On top of Ludwig's live cattle export fark up, this has lifted the ire of many, many country folk to new levels.

Or go out of business as Lindsay Fox et. al. with their massive fleets and lower overheads per truck march in and offer to take the runs over at a lower price. Hmm, yeah, sounds like a plan.

I'm just reporting what I heard this morning over about 90 minutes of radio, man. You can argue if it's right or wrong.

Nah. We still drive our cattle to market on horseback (actually we do but it's rare). I also had to stand up in front of a bunch of truckers and farmers of various persuasion and convince them of the sanity of fatigue and MDL legislation.

Plus when dad was on his "with great privilege comes great responsibility" kick I drove (well offsided mainly) long haul trucks and worked in an abbatoir.

I don't know what you have to do with trucking or anything else but crapping on about regional Australia whilst shining a seat in spiv central......excuse me while I spew.

You simply don't read posts, do you? You select a few words and make up what you would like me to have posted so you can make an embarrassing ballbag of yourself.

skully wrote:I'm just reporting what I heard this morning over about 90 minutes of radio, man. You can argue if it's right or wrong.
I have nothing to do with Trucking. This is what I said above. Phone up Bolts and tell someone who cares what a redneck like you thinks. I reckon you'd get 3 words in before he cut you off. "My name's qmy..." Laughing

You also said what you said in the highlighted bit about the "trucking game". So whilst I might be guilty of not reading whole threads it seems you don't even read your own posts. My post also pointed out I didn't have a clue whether you were in trucking or not.

(you can listen to the audio there too.)
TIMOTHY MCDONALD: When Jimi Hendrix died in 1970, it was a loss to music, but also to the youth culture of the time. A young Australian doctor, Bob Brown, now the leader of the Greens was at the hospital when Jimi Hendrix came in.

BOB BROWN: Well it was a big surprise of course. It was a sunny morning at St Mary Abbots hospital in South Kensington and he came, the trolley from the ambulance with the body of Jimi Hendrix and his girlfriend and other people with him but there was nothing to be done.

TIMOTHY MCDONALD: So were you a fan at the time?

BOB BROWN: No, I knew about Jimi Hendrix and I was not one to be following all the music of the day but I knew who he was, of course. Everybody did. And I knew that this was a terrific loss not just of his life, but as a talent for the world of music.

TIMOTHY MCDONALD: But his legacy continues. Both his albums and songs routinely appear in Rolling Stone magazine's top 500 lists, and more recordings continue to surface and are released through his estate.

I just thought I'd quote this because I'm having beers with Tim McDonald tonight. I find it funny when an internet forum crosses paths with your real life.

Ugh, you are just so thick. I made it clear (if you care to read the thread of posts that you decided to comment on) that I was listening to Bolts and Oldfield on two separate radio stations, flicking between them in ads. They were inundated with calls on Windsor's farking of the Trucking industry and added that it was the last straw given Ludwig's fark up (feel free to check my posts).

What's it matter whether I'm in the trucking game or not? I said I was reporting what I heard on the radio.

You and JGK came in with roobish comments slagging off the bushie truckies, leading me to question your expertise of the trucking game, given what I heard (AND reported I'd heard) on the radio.

With that, I will leave you to have the last word, as I know you always must have it, and try to dig you way out of the embarrassing vomitous mess you've made of yourself on this forum yet again.

Work to be done. aye-aye

Apparently Lord Monckton speaks for all Australians.

What made him an authority on Climate change?

So Cate cannot speak for Australians, but Lord Monckton can??

BTW I used to work with his brother at an IB in Sydney. His brother is a tremendous man. So nothing personal against the Lord.

Er, last I looked, many institutions were stopping him speaking. And the loudest complainers about Monkton are, of course, yes, the Gwapologists. Are they scared of what he has to say?

And who said he speaks for all Australians?

BTW, not watching the SoO? Shocked

Looks like the live cattle ban to Indonesia has been lifted although with much tighter safeguards.

Actually from what I've heard they're the same safeguards, just taken seriously with a some tweaking at the end user stage.
