- That picture's funny as f*ck. The funny bit being there's about four first-teamers in that entire 2011 picture.
Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (III)
How can you tell? They all look the same to Trev.

It will be one nationesque without the racism. And remember he can strike whilst the iron's hot. It's not like there's still two years plus to the next ellection in that neck of the woods.

I see the milky bar kid is counting the numbers - apparently has been on the phone to Douggie Howes and Premier Bill. Must be that new heart valve.

He'd be better off waiting until the whole electorate is really screaming for him. Then no matter how it's done human psychology takes over and those screaming for it will just have to vote that way.
Do it now and the novelty will dissipate.

Problem for Juliar is that next year Qld has both state and local elections - so the cash box that is the Labor party in Qld's various private companies will be strapped worse than it is now as a result of the sharemarket dive.
Last time the State companies were asked to cough up several mill - and kindly told her where to go, but relented and gave some assistance. This time I think they'll just tell her to get back under that Oz flag.

Smart analysis except for the fact those elections are due about two years before the next federal election.

I acknowledge November 2013 - just pointing out that if she went early - what she'd face - the Qld cash boxes won't even have cash by 2013.

WTF would she go early? Plus whenever they go it won't be her taking the drive to Yarrallumla. Plus I think you'll find a more strategic, than sh1tloads of cash driven campaign in QLD. Let's face it why even bother to waste money on a lost cause when you can save it for the big one and hope (not unoptimistically) that the LNp implode and Katter provides your flank protection.

He's preaching to the converted (and the justifiably pissed off) h. And really the message (parts of it) isn't too bad. The delivery ain't too bad either as long he takes the happy pills when aroused.

Comment today in "The Power Index":
Can't help but think that the last sentence should have read "Luckily for Swan, Bryce McGain, in the form of Joe Hockey, has been spinning for the other side. "
In the words of former Treasury adviser Brendan Brown, "He is to economic policy what Nathan Hauritz is to spin bowling: honest and hard-working but with limited ability." Luckily for Swan, an equally pedestrian bowler, Joe Hockey, has been spinning for the other side.
