Not a huge Bresno fan? Since when?
Well, yeah it will be a little more difficult to bowl us out but it's hardly like them bowlers there they had bowling for them were consistently threatening. They were in bursts. But I suppose TB may be more bowler friendly than Lord's. So all-in-all it's not a bad thing. I don't think there'll be too much difference in performance, Bresnan can keep the pressure on. It all depends how the two best performers from the last game fare.
Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Trent Bridge, 29 Jul-2 Aug, 2011
I actually think Sreesanth will go well. Will obviously improve their attack by virtue of being on the park (being paraded around the paddock like a big gay horse doesn't count).
Last time I saw him bowl, against SA, he looked in good shape.

Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Trent Bridge, 29 Jul-2 Aug, 2011
Oh, he'll definitely add to the attack. Although he got plenty au tonk in-between his, what, 9 wickets in 3 Tests in SA didn't he? Probably averaged about 50. Because he's a freakish headcase. Got to be better than some jelly-bellied no-show.
Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Trent Bridge, 29 Jul-2 Aug, 2011
Finn's been added to the squad. I guess that's pretty much confirmation that Tremlett's out.
Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Trent Bridge, 29 Jul-2 Aug, 2011
Took a five-bag tonight. Was it on the tele? Didn't see it. Maybe he was ultra impressive and Geoff Miller went "Wooooooo". Maybe.
More than likely he's just making up the numbers for tomorrow should something silly happen to the three fit lads overnight.

Didn't make a point of looking, as it was v Derbs. F'that. Yeah, they just might listen to the 'he's a wicket taker' hype though.
Re: England v India, 2nd Test, Trent Bridge, 29 Jul-2 Aug, 2011
Yep, was on TV - watched his first couple of overs then turned over in protest of Direby being on my TV.
Very sharp and accurate was Finny. They'll go Bres though I reckon.

I've noticed Jimmy is now in England's all-time top 10 wicket takers. How far up this list could he get this series?
Botham 383
Willis 325
Trueman 307
Underwood 297
Statham 252
Hoggard 248
Bedser 236
Caddick 234
Gough 229
Anderson 226
Should be up to number 7 anyway, barring injury and the Anderson Cycle... Hoggard and Statham should be in his sights over the winter.
It's pretty pathetic that we haven't even had a bowler with 400 wickets, now the record is 800. Maybe one or two of the current lot will do it!

I wish they'd go with Finn to replace Tremlett rather than Bresnan. Finn looked in good order in the C40 game last night, and regardless of the flaws in his action, he keeps taking wickets. Plus, he's a like for like replacement for Tremlett.
Finn is effectively Tremlett's understudy, Bresnan is Broad's understudy, and Dernbach is Anderson's understudy.
England shouldn't risk un-balancing the attack just because Tim Bresnan is a hard working good bloke.

And it looks like Yuvraj will revive his test career as an opener. Regardless of Gambhir's fitness, i'd play Yuvraj. Mukund might make nice, composed 30s, but England will be much more fearful of Yuvraj in the batting lineup. Plus he can bowl handy left arm spin.

Munaf's going to play surely, more match practice. And he was very impressive in some spells in the 3rd test.

FMDs. Yuvraj in the team?
Although he'll probably bowl as the main spinner seeing as Harbhajan can't bowl for sh!t. Don't expect much from his batting though.

He enjoys batting against England. And his test record isn't THAT bad. He's dug India out of a hole a few times.
And if you asked the England bowlers who they would least like to bowl to out of Yuvraj and Mukund, i'm sure they'd say Yuvraj every time.

Word is that Tremlett is out. Bresnan to play. Gambhir also out for India. Possibility of Dravid opening and Yuvraj slotting in at six.
Good old Rahul. He'd be perfectly entitled to put his foot down and demand that he stay at his coveted number three spot, but once again, he's doing what the team needs.

So is the new weather thingy accurate? Some play today?
The big question is...
Will Dello's scorebox link work? At the moment the farker won't load for me. Just the Dickinfo spinning clock-circle.

Flukey qunts these Indians. The second toss they've won where it's perfect for bowling. If they don't win this one I think they'll have to have 'shite' stamped on their folder.

Pffft. Cook gunned out. He looked all at sea though.
