Paine might miss the boat
Obviously (to all but the NSP) it's time for Haddin to go.
Paine has just re-broken his finger and will miss the first Sheffield Shield match of the season.
Wade and Hartley should be licking their chops at the prospect of a Test debut. I would favour Wade at this stage.

Re: Paine might miss the boat
He's a comet turned vomit
signed to one of their Big Wank teams
"A wicketkeeper from Canberra, Ryan Carters made the move to Victoria ahead of the 2009-10 season and was immediately considered the next in line behind the regular gloveman Matthew Wade. Carters had been given an unusual opportunity in January 2009, when he filled in behind the stumps for New Zealand in the Prime Minister's XI match, when Brendon McCullum was injured. He played one Twenty20 match for Victoria in January 2010 and the following summer made his first-class and one-day debuts. In his maiden first-class outing, against the touring England side, he made 68 as an opener, and he played three Sheffield Shield games later in the season as a specialist batsman. He added another half-century, again at the top of the order, and will aim to make the opening spot his own in 2011-12. "

Re: Paine might miss the boat
the implication Taips is making is that Wessels could potentially be eligible to play for three different countries (South Africa, England, Australia).

Don't think he is eligible for SA. Was travelling on an Aussie passport which is why he couldn't Kolpak and got chucked out of CC. Not quite sure how he weaseled back in.

For some reason, I read that as Mitchell Johnson.
I thought: That's a bit harsh.

yep, he did ... he might have been chosen above Haddin, but Haddin caught that boat, and there won't be another one for Ronchi
