O/T- Wooden Boat Festival 2017

Kicked off today with a parade of sail up the Derwent. 200 boats on the water including the square riggers, James Craig, Young Endevour, Tenatious, Lady Franklin, Windward Bound & many others. Hav'nt seen anything like it since the bi-centenial tall ships race. Biggest festival of its type in the southern hemisphere & one of the best in the world. Really has the entire waterfront buzzing.
At least it gives me an excuse not to watch our pathetic shield team.

Plenty of them. Over 500 boats on display some of them over 100 years old.

I am really fond of coutas. A mate and I talk every now and then about buying one and slowly doing her up. And slow it would be as I am hopeless on the tools.
