Paine needs to move to dubberland quickly if he wants to get ahead...Neville (ex vix now spiv keeper) will be the big threat to take over from Haddit..

Phurrt...Neville is just a journeyman keeper. I doubt he is in serious contention.

If Paine is unavailable, next in line will be Wade (ex Tossie )

Interesting table of Oz keepers and their performance behind the stumps. Yet, there are still some calling for Paine to be replaced by Wade, whose keeping AND batting are worse over the journey. Also, but for the Australian heartbreak that was Headingley, he'd already have retaining the Ashes in England on his CV, unlike our other better-credentialed post-Waugh captains.

Good to see him finally contribute with the bat. He did not have the best of matches at Headingly as Skipper or with the bat and the gloves.

Good display of captaincy last night by Ima, overcoming the review debacle at Leeds.

He hasnt won the series yet. He’s just retained the Ashes that Smith won.

And we may never know if Smith was up to the feat himself.

Aus should be relaxed for a good performance at the Oval.

I'm hoping no, but I think they might just do that. Cot has a fair record at The Oval, so he might get a guernsey.
