Re: Cooley appointed
Cooley FFS? Isn't this the same bloke who completely farked Midge in the head? Mints are his only claim to fame, and Freddy probably gave him that tip.

Re: Cooley appointed
True enough, but at least with natural ability he roared to 100 Test wickets. He's basically had one good Test since then.
Midge is to our bowling attack as Fuse is to our batting. It's been a good effort by Aus to get back to 4th with 9 players.

Re: Cooley appointed
As acting coach, Cooley will also be an acting national selector, including for the South Africa T20 and ODI squad selections due to be announced later this week.
garq me
Meanwhile, CA has also advertised for a new full-time national selector and two part-time selectors, all positions recommended by the recently-tabled Australian Team Performance Review.
I'm going to apply

Re: Cooley appointed
FFS
"Troy Cooley once again finds himself tackling Australian cricket's great conundrum after being appointed interim head coach - and an acting national selector - for the upcoming tour of South Africa.
But Cooley remains hopeful he will get Johnson "up and running" - just like he did as Australia's bowling coach in 2009."
------------------------------------------
What? I thought Midge went OK until Cooley tinkered with his arm and wrist position. The big dumb Banjo couldn't make it work and it completely r00ted him. His only decent performance since then was when he had the Doctor pushing the ball into the Pom right-handers in Perth.
So he's farked him once - what makes him think he can get it right the 2nd time?

No, they are all actors.
Expect Shoaib to be appointed next. As batting coach. On a temporary basis.

I heard the Press Conference ...he basically said that Billy is the bowling coach and that he's in charge of Mitch ...so it sounds like Cooley will stay the garq away from trying to coach him
He also said he thought Copeland could do a similar job at Test level as ...
.
- Spoiler:
- Andrew McDonald
and I think he meant it as a compliment to Copeland
