- I reckon this is a left-arm orthodox grip. It could be Ravi Shastri, who used to run in with his bowling arm raised at chest level..

Re: New Picture Quiz: "Get a grip"
Feedback so far:
Bradman:
1 is sadly incorrect. Arm is too slender for him, grip not "snake-like" enough on the ball - and as Skully pointed out, bangles don't prove anything (...... except perhaps eternal flames). But right country.
BD:
5 is (obviously) incorrect
Skully:
Correct are: 1 (as you confirmed), 3, 5 (following up JGK's lead as you confirmed, and good detection work getting there), 8, 11, 14 (the former - as confirmed), 16, and 17.
25: simpler than that.
Incorrect:
12 - right about the style/action though. And that the colour of the ball gives some guidance.
13 - wrong continent
19 - spectacularly not! (right country, very wrong era)
21 - no, but right area (so to speak), slightly wrong era.
JGK:
Correct are: 1, 5 (the former - see Skully's answer, and gloss), 8, 11 & 20 (all after Skully, but I think arrived at independently - 11 is evidently brown enough!), 16, 18 (glad you got the hint), 20, 24.
Incorrect:
3 - (see Skully's)
4 - wrong side of the sea
6 - nooooooo - wrong continent and decade(s)
9 - the player you named would NOT be pleased ...
17 - it does look like his grip (though not his hand). Later - the debt was clear. (see Skully's for more details).
21 - as Skully pointed out, you were going the wrong direction. That there is a chest! See also comment above on Skully's guess on this one.

- a lot of these are unorthodox in one way or another, but I meant simply: slow bowlers (spinners)

Re: New Picture Quiz: "Get a grip"
So we've knocked out 2, 10 and 21.
4 is left-arm chinaman but over the seas from Bevan. He played both Tests and ODIs. Seems to be white.
So Pete can I ask the era of no. 4? Pre or post 1990?

- Spoiler:
- Also do Bryce McGain or John Watkins figure at all, perhaps in 9 or 19?

Re: New Picture Quiz: "Get a grip"
Still playing. Though not the last match.
And he does have a characteristic grip .... between index and middle.
Chinaman?
I didn't say over the seaS. At least I hope not.
