Cheers Big Dog, and thanks for the choccy fingers I like those.
I had a hernia op a few weeks back and the wound got badly infected so I've been out of circulation a while. I'll be back posting regularly when there's proper cricket going on .

Re: HB Growler
Yes I am Danny, thanks.
The op went fine, but it seems like I had an allergic reaction to the sticky pad dressing they applied afterwards. I left it on for a couple of days when I got home (as instructed), but when I removed it, my belly was a mass of huge wet blisters - some of which burst when the dressing came off. It looked as though I'd had a pan of boiling water thrown over me.
Unfortunately the infection sort of partly opened up the wound again ..... so two weeks of antibiotics - pills the size of anti-shipping torpedoes ( at least thats what they felt like to swallow .)
On the mend now though, although being diabetic usually means that the healing process is a bit slower than is usual with healthy folk.

Re: HB Growler
Blimey, that doesn't sound good at all. They're using maggots again for diabetic's wounds, you know? At least it seems it is on the upturn now, I know what it's like to not have a wound heal - combined with the tough antibiotics they dish out there's a very tiring element to it all. And that's the best of it!

Yep, I had a hernia op a couple of years back which also got infected.
On reflection having the op about 12 and being in the pub at 4 maybe wasn't the best idea.

What is it about this place and hernias? Dello 'apparently' had one that couldn't be contained in a wheelbarrow ...
Hope your recovery continues at pace, Growler.
