The Big Bash is right before the Test series (Indian series), so no

Looks like the new selectors might be spared the job of axing Johnson. It seems he has a talent toe strain.

Toe strain, heart strain, brain strain, patience strain......pick you strain with him.

As I said on the Cummins thread, WTF does that Greek qunt posing as the Australian physio get paid for.
He isn't fit to suck the sweat out of Errol Alcott's jockstrap.

TBF if Cummins is cut from the same cloth as the rest of our current team the physio doesn't have much to work with.

They were never going to risk him even if his injury is only a sliht, slight niggle.
The facts are- He's only 18 and Clarke probably over-bowled him at Joburg. He shouldn't be allowed to bowl more than 20 overs an innings.

It would be nice to think that this is the start of their managment of his workload and they are doing the right thing. However, the fact that he is the only bowler from the last that should get picked here would override that

Hughes
Warner
Khawaja
Ponting
Clarke(c)
Hussey
Haddin+
Siddle
Copeland
Lyon
Pattinson
?
Hell of a long tail.

Maybe Starc instead of Pattinson. We might need the variety from right arms pies.

Well if he can't do that, send him back to grade until he is old enough. The Australian side isn't a training ground.

It's a bad time for Butterworth to be injured ... might be a chance to have a look at Faulkner. Cutting may have an edge on his home turf, but he's done nothing in the tour game (nor have any of his competitors).

At this stage, I don't think Cutting is test quality with the ball. I haven't seen him move it around much. His main attribute seems to be aggression. The Courier-Mail claimed he was bowling at 150kph in a recent Shield game but I have serious doubts about that.

Maddinson hasn't made double figures since Trev bigged him up.

I thought his big problem was that Horrie jumped on his bandwagon.
