Australia v New Zealand, 1st Test, Brisbane, 1-5 December, 2011
right ... Hilfenhaus for Johnson, Paine or Wade for Haddin, Bailey for the injured Marsh, and Butterworth for Siddle.
Coyle for coach.
Maybe, maybe; Doherty for Lyon.

Looks like Haddin and Midge may has just saved their test spots.

Midge shouldn't have saved his. He is not in the side to make match-winning 40*, but to take match-winning Michelle. He seems absolutely incapable of the latter these days.

Mitch topped the Australian batting averages for the series.

Haddin shouldn't have. It was too little too late and he was freaking lucky during most of the innings.
Wade is young and in good form so there is no reason not to pick him over Haddin.

So all in agreement with my initial post, then?
OUT: Johnson, Haddin, Siddle, Watson (injured), Hughes, Lyon
IN: Butterworth, Hilfenhaus, Paine or Wade, Bailey, Doherty, and Faulkner?

They should move the first test to Hobart as well. Saves them having to travel for the second. Everyone should then receive complimentary James Boags and Coopers Pale Ale from a bikini clad David Boon, who will then run up Mount Wellington for charity.

Some excellent ideas, although I think the First Test should be played in Launceston, en route to Hobart.

Boags is Tasmanian, isn't it? I've seen the ads......."from the pure waters of Tasmania"
But yeah, I got Coopers and Cascade mixed up.

I've got a feeling the Snoozers will be stiffer competition than Aus are expecting.
And i'm really not looking forward to the Channel Nine commentators wank-fest over Pat Cummins.

Just a week to go; then a very quick series v NZ before the Indians arrive. It does actually seem like reasonable planning by CA for the Indian series; WHAT IS GOING ON??
