Post any "did you knows". Cricket or otherwise.

Did you know that Courtney Walsh took 297 Test wickets after his 32nd birthday? That is absolutely ridiculous for a fast bowler. Massively underrated just because he wasn't quite as good as Ambrose. Just as a comparison, McGrath took 186 Test wickets after his 32nd. That's Glen McGrath, the bowler who never really lost "it".

Shane Warne, a spinner, took 301 Test wickets after his 32nd in 53 Tests. Walsh took 297 wickets Tests in 67.

Courtney Walsh, take a bow.

Just to hammer home the point, he took more wickets after the age of 32 than nearly every English bowler took in their entire career, bar 3 - Botham (383), Willis (325), Trueman (307).

Hadlee took 248 after 32. Ambrose - 147.

I saw something like this on another site once:

The first bollocks guard was used in cricket in 1874

and the first helmet was used in 1974.

Men are worried more about their c*ck than their brains.

Food for thought. Or something. I'm not really thinking at the moment.

I had a run in with Amenhotep II the other week. Renamed the qunt Jiggles Ho-Tep. I'm comfortable with the Egyptology, as a result.
