Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12 (II)
Great catch by Punter to dismiss Fergy. Barrels still in the driving seat at 3/178 after 35.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12 (II)
Barrels all out 285 in the 50th over. Tassie chased down a similar total at home not long ago but i think they will struggle here.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12 (II)
Tassie 3/156 after 32 overs. Its going to be tough going from here.

Tassie should have won it but Faulkner couldn't get bat on ball and Punter being stuck at the other end lost it for them. Mind you it was Bailey's wicket which sealed it.
Earlier SA almost deserved to lose it based on dire catching.

So how long ago was it that SA actually WON a final? Mid 80s?

What odds two tied one-day matches at the same ground a matter of a couple of weeks apart?

Belated congrats to the Barrels. Didn't even realise it was the Final.
No doubt Chuck will now claim he's the best coach in Aus.

Will James Faulkner claim this as the Saffie connection needed to play for England?

Tim Paine says the Ryobi should have been replayed, & i agree. How can a side claim the title when they didn't win the final? Both sides finished the home & away with the same points but an extra bonus point gave the title to SA. Tassie could also feel aggrieved when Baily was given not out to an LBW call when on 101 but the third umpire intervened & gave him out.
All in all, a pretty hollow victory by the barrels.

I think most in Adelaide may disagree, BD.

Tim Paine should suck it up and stop being so precious. If it's good enough for the Sheffield Shield, and if it was in the rules before the comp started, then players have no right to complain.
Unless, of course, Paine has some Indian heritage...

Another ranga selected to debut in the Bulls team to play NSW.
Alex Kemp has been showing good form in grade & Futures League matches. Broad dropped to make way for him.
