They're both better than a certain other sub-continental side I could mention!
S/L weren'tthe side I had in mind actually, but your point is well made.

Cloudy this morning with patchy drizzle. The chance of thunderstorms over eastern suburbs early this morning. Sunny breaks developing mid afternoon. Winds south to southwesterly averaging 20 to 25 km/h increasing to 25 to 30km/h late morning.
Looks like its going to be an 'on-off' day.

thanks for the Rikkiing, Big Cheese.
Yep, another career ruined.
Still, I reckon he was close to playing. Ponting and Hussey would have been sh*tting themselves.

Don't see how India can take 20 wickets, bit like their tour of England.

This should be a good test. Both teams not exactly setting the world alight, both batting orders seem brittle and there's a lot of scores to settle. We could see a couple of spectacular collapses. Australia probably have the better fast bowling unit, while India's Ashwin and Ojha pip Lyon and Clarke in the spin department.
This Ed Cowan bloke, his figures look good, no longer the nearly man it seems. Warner and Cowan at the top of the order will be interesting.

I reckon regardless of which way the coin falls this morning, Australia will be batting.

You expect us to believe that you're genuinely unaware of the massive batting collapses Australia has engineered in recent times?JKLever wrote:Don't see how India can take 20 wickets, bit like their tour of England.
One of those was against NZ. I think India is a tad better than NZ at cricket.

Depressing watching the West Indies v Ashwin. Talk about lead footed batting. Move your feet lads, move about a bit.
Hope Ashwin goes well though.

Straw coloured wicket - not much seam, no overcast conditions. Aus batting first to scratch up 280, India to bat for 3 days to make 750, Aus to salvage a draw at 8-195 at the end of play on Day 5.
