My Goodness the Ch9 commentators are out of touch. Tony Greig is shocked and appalled that Zaheer is only bowling at 130kph.
That's only been the case for the last five years so I can see why he's been caught completely off-guard.....

Michael Clarke and his PR team seem to have hooked up with Channel 9 to try and give him a better image. Failing at the moment. Looks so fake and contrived.

Speaking of silk ears and sow purses, what a quantum leap in difference between the quality of techniques of Ed Cowans and Dill Fuse.

aye
fingers crossed, here, but it does look a really good wicket now, and the pull shots make me think it's the sort of wicket Hussey might prosper on, too.

The swing has all but gone. It'll be a case of keeping it tight now. The simplest of tasks becoming the most difficult for India.
No idea who told Yadav to bowl short balls. Zaheer Khan must either be in troll mode or Yadav thinks all the batsmen are like Warner.
Cowan looking good. Leaving well, pressing on when chances arise. Thank god he plied his trade in four day cricket. Otherwise India would be into the tail by now.

It's great to know that channel 9 is replaced by Shastri, Gavaskar, Wasim and Wilkins. Fire->Frying pan

There's more than a bit of Andrew Strauss in Ed Cowan's batting.

I'm not a cricket expert by any stretch, but why is this happening?
Nerves? Technique? Moisture on the pitch?

Red wrote:skully wrote:Poor shot from Bog. Drunky still struggling with balance around his front leg. Nice to see him get one through mid-wicket. If he's smashing those inswingers through mid-on we'll know that his balance is back.
Two successive ducks from him. A bit of a reality check as he'd become some sort of messiah and superstar in the eyes of the press during his injury layoff.
Indian attack looks pedestrian and some look a tad corpulent judging by some fielding efforts. Is Dhoni carrying a bit?
Cowan is obviously moulded on the corpse in pads style opener. Punter shaky but still there.
Amazing to think that I was at the 'G when Punter came out in the second innings to a thunderous applause as he was seemingly fighting for his test survival. He was duly cleaned bowled for about twenty. Nothing has changed it seems.
Do you watch cricket or blindly look at scoresheets ?
His first duck was when his back was farqued and the rest of the team failed ...a bit "unlucky" in the second duck . a loose shot that would have been four if a metre either side of where he hit and everyone would have raved about how good a shot it was

Indian bowling very ordinary atm but most of the experts thought they'd test us less than the kiwis with the ball.
