Proteas win the toss and bowl on a greenish pitch. Dilshan would have liked to bowl too. The pitch was described yesterday as blending in with the outfield, though the curator said it will probably offer the spinners something late in the game.
SA is unchanged from the team which lost to the Aussies in Joburg. Sangakkara has been declared fit.
Both teams are undercooked to an extent.

Weather looks fine, would expect thunderclouds to build up in the afternoon.

Good food on offer at the ground, Taips? How much is the beer? Where is the best place to sit? Recommend a good restaurant for this evening? What time does sun set over there at the moment? Did Dale Steyn shave this morning? Were wives and girlfriends allowed in the hotel last night? Is anyone under-cooked?

WTF was that from Dilshan? That was just awful.
And then Sanga plays a pretty meek prod outside of stump. Like I said the other day- this could be ugly.

Looks like they'll make at least 47, though.

I don't think the pitch is as spicy as people thought it would be.

In general the Saffies have bowled too short.

66/3 is hardly the rampage all were predicting.

Maybe having Kallis and Tahir bowling eased the pressure somewhat. SL doing better than expected on a green pitch.

The Philanderer has continued his impressive start to Test cricket. His line and length has been spot on. Jaya has batted very well in tough conditions, using soft hands well.
Saffies in front at the moment.

Mike Haysman's voice seems to have less and less bass every year. like a device is slowly but surely tightening his balls.

To be honest, I think South Africa's bowling has been no better than average so far.
