Hehehe, I like it.G.Wood wrote:why hasn't one proposed Leonard as a pseudonym for Ed?
What I don't like is the fact that I went to bed early and got up at 1.30 to watch some live stuff, but ended up going back to bed at 5.00 am frustrated by that little legend Shiv.
When I got up I was pleasantly surprised to see we'd added another 60 to the lead, then got rid of Barath for a gozza and then Pup snared a couple of quick ones after lunch to have the Test swinging heavily in Aus with the Windies at 3-45.
What then followed was 2.5 hours of fairly poor bowling, sometimes dusty fielding (we dropped at least 3 very tough chances) and very good batting. Bravo and Shiv played without too much alarm, with only Elmer occasionally beating the bat with extravagant turn.
The offie was pretty disappointing on a very helpful wicket. His off stump line was barely threatening as he hardly has an arm ball, let alone a doosra. When he pitched on leg he looked very dangerous, but couldn't seem to consistently achieve that line.
So it seems I did the right thing at 5.00. It seems I would've had to wait at least another hour to see Watto get Bravo. Then Puppy put a spring in the team's step by removing the obstinate Chanders with the last ball of the day. At 5-173, it is a massive ask for the last 5 WI wickets to get the remaining near 200 on the final day. Perhaps I should do the right thing by Aus supporters and not watch the opening session live tonight.
Hearty congrats to Shiv on becoming the 10th player to pass the 10,000 run milestone and to Shilly on becoming first Windies spinner since Lance Gibbs v England in 1966 to take a match 10-fer.
Belated congrats to Drunky on moving into 2nd place on the all-time run getters list. I think Fat Jack will probably take that spot eventually though.

aside from glawson I enjoyed the last session..great fight by the Windies...congrats to shiv - there has always been a seam of plucky fighters who have batted at 5 or 6 for the Windies...btw nice to see an Oz keeper who can catch low snicks to both his right and left

being a vomit he has the advantage of letting them bounce two or three times before he catches them

oh please embee...get a grip on it...your thoughts on other states will have merit when you have the gumption to address the abject failure of worrier cricket over a long period

I suspect Elmer has a similar view to Tiger O'Reilly about left handers.

Stupid Windians, I went to sleep a 3/150 thinking that they could score 250.

your defence of vomit cheating is "look how shit the wozzies are"
We are shit ...have been since Moody retired ...several reasons
Doug Harris leads the list ...some dud selectors a close second ...players with pea hearts in third spot
Now back to the Vomits and their ability to cheat ....

At least the Windies put up enough of a fight to take to a fifth day so i can stay up & watch a little bit.
Re: West Indies v Australia, 3rd Test, Roseau, 23-27 April, 2012
Actually, if the Windies tail wags at all, they may take it into the final session.
Hopefully Pup can close out a Michelle. Then again, after a fairly poor day yesty, Elmer could come out and claim all 5.
