Sammy certainly hits a long ball. Clarke's last over, for sure. New ball due.
Not much to come after this partnership is broken.

Clarke's 2nd best Test bowling next to his 6-9 at Mumbai in November 2004.

Scratch Rampaul from that list. Nine-pins. Dervishes.

BB by an Australian captain since AB's 5-68 at Bourda in March 1991. 4th best by any Australian captain against West Indies. 18th Fifer by an Australian captain.

Good. Walking wicket. So's Ramdin, but may as well give him another go. When your number 11 is easily outscoring you, there's a problem.
Re: West Indies v Australia, 3rd Test, Roseau, 23-27 April, 2012
84 ... yet again, bowlers batting better than batsmen

No surprise, then. No Gayle?

Best 10th wicket stand by Windies v. Australia at home beating Ambrose & Walsh's 38 at Kensington Oval in March 1999. 4th best overall.

So that's it.
If the WIndies had scored as many in their first innings as in their first, they would have won (... just). Mind you, Clamderpaul apart, as with Oz previously, the batting resilience came mainly from a couple of bowlers.

Windies tail were gifted some easy runs when Clarke kept himself on in his quest for a Michelle despite leaking runs everywhere.
Re: West Indies v Australia, 3rd Test, Roseau, 23-27 April, 2012
Well, he might have kept his head better as captain, .......... but you can understand why he was a bit like Alice in Wonderland when the supposed (wilted) flower of the West Indian batting was everywhere falling under his occasional spin.

Well done to Sammy for making the boys work hard for the last 5 wickets and even give them a wee scare towards the end.
Nice work by Pup on achieving his second Test Michelle. He didn't bowl particularly well last night, but did enough to snare a couple. Elmer bowled a better line and picked up the other 3.
A good win by Aus to move them to no. 3 in the world rankings, now ahead of India.

And the first by an Ozzie skipper for 21 years, also in the Caribbean. Last 3 instances have all been against the West Indies. Given the selectors' predilection to choose batsmen rather than bowlers to captain the side this is a comparatively rare feat achieved 18 times by only 7 captains: Benaud (9), Giffen (3), Border (2) and Trumble, Noble, Johnson and now Clarke with 1 apiece with a best of 7-44 by Johnson at The Bourda in April 1955. England captains, despite being more numerous, have only achieved the feat on 14 occasions: Allen (4), Willis (3), Gilligan (2), and Aubrey Smith, Jackson, Douglas, Freddie Brown and Illingworth with 1 apiece with a best of 7-80 by Gubby Allen against India at The Oval in August 1936 and the last instance being 5-35 by Bob Willis against the Kiwis at Headingley in July 1983. No England captain has achieved this feat against the West Indies.

England would have done it 18 times then. Not sure why you didn't mention them and I'm only saying that by using the figures you've given.
