Re: Movies that make you cry.
I really, really don't know what's worse - admitting you didn't mind Dirty Dancing or admitting you cried over some cyborg and his cheesebag parting line?
Answers on a f*cking postcard, folks.

Crying over Arnie is pretty lame. But I've cried over lamer stuff. I think.

Brokeback...don't think I cried, although it is deeply depressing.
Moneyball made me cry happily, and copiously.
ET is pretty heartrending.
Forrest Gump has made me cry, when he's talking to Jenny's grave, but it's not every time.
Wrath of Khan, when Spock dies.
The end of the film about the FDNY, 9/11 when they show a picture of the guys who died at the end.

The only film that's really made me cry is Schindler's List. I must have seen it ten times now and it always gets me when the survivors place rocks on Schindler's grave while John Williams' score plays in the background.
The end of It's A Wonderful Life always sends a tingle up my spine and I think the eyes have welled up a bit, but that's all.
I almost cried at the end of Brokeback Mountain, but was too sad to do so.

Anything to do with animals. I cried when Charlotte the spider died. I've never been brave enough to watch Watership Down.

It did serve the purpose of making me familiar with Lena Headey, whose presence I am relishing in Game of Thrones. And Summer Glau was tidy.Dello wrote:I devoted myself weekly to the TV series, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, in the hope that it would find its feet, but it never did.

The Railway Children. Gets me every time the steam fades and Bobbie runs to her father saying, "Daddy, my Daddy"...
Also cry these days when I watch The Sound of Music, I think it's my age.

I have always cried during the Sound of Music. I think it's Julie Andrews.

I weep like a little child at the end of Man on Fire with Denzil Washington and Dakota Fanning. Don't ask me why. It's all about the mis-en-scene. Music, emotion, killer punch.

I haven't seen it. Who strikes who with the killer punch? Surely Denzil wouldn't hit a girl?
