Lack of height I would say.

Red is at the height of her FB career. She's head and shoulders above the rest.

I reckon WI have missed Deonarine - decentish batsman, goodish spinner. Him, Chanders and Samuels could've made a good combo.

Bishoo would have spun England out. Calling it now.

Bishoo would have been slaughtered. Bowls at least one boundary ball per over.

Because many balls which are a comfortable height for most batsmen are short balls for him. After standing next to him in the lift I was shocked how tiny he was. Maybe it also contributes to a lack of power. He just looked too dimunitive for a test batsman. I know that in the past shortness as a batsman was seen to be an advantage (maybe reflexes etc) but wonder if he falls below the threshold. Celebrated examples such as Bradman, Lara, Sachin are clearly taller than him. Of course over the past decade or so more taller batsmen are starting to have success.

WHAT?
Adrian Barath - height 5' 5".
Sachin Tendulkar - height 5' 5".
Suppose neither of them will ever make it.

But how tall is Sachin in a lift? That's the key area.

Good point, Dello.

I'm not saying Barath will be great but his lack of height is not a factor. Also he doesn't have a lack of power he has a lack of application.

Gavaskar was also 5'5"
GP was not exactly a short ass.

Ian Bell is 3 foot 2.
So this whole debate is invalid.

So Barath at 5'5 is clearly shorter than Gavaskar or Tendulkar at 5'5 in red world?

Sachin and Gavaskar must be taller because Red hasn't stood next to them in a lift.

I think the five feet five is inflated in the way that footballers make theirs up. One of the females on that tour said she was definitely five feet four((measured professionally) and she was taller than him. Anyway I still think that it must be hard for someone so short as a lot of the balls which are comfortable height for many players he has to fend at. I notice that taller bowlers like Broad who obviously generate good bounce clearly trouble him. The lack of application could also be a valid point.
