Did you see her stare down Paul Kelly yesterday? I only saw grabs that aired on the news. She needs to find a way of mass producing some of that conviction and shovel it out every time she's in front of a microphone.

It was effective in stopping him ask his question ...it didnt provide an answer ...and it brought the "scandal" to the 6 oclock news of 7 and 9 ...then followed by a burst of Abbott calling for her to answer the allegations in parliament ...

Most don't give a rat's about her culpability. She addressed the question by saying "I did nothing wrong Paul" & then went on to ask if he wanted to make an allegation. The ball was then in his court.
The good viewers of commercial news finally got to hear a leader acting like one.

It made Gillard look sneaky.
But I loves the way a 40 year journalism veteran of oz politics was flustered and didn't know what to do.

sneaky, maybe. More importantly she spoke with conviction, to the extent that Kelly was flustered. More of that thanks PM.

No the conviction she spoke with yesterday is the same conviction that made her the best politician of the current parliament according to Janet Albrechsten, the same conviction which prompted Alan Jones say she should be leading the country instead of Rudd, and the same conviction that had many in the coalition fearful to ask her questions in question time.
She lost that conviction when she became PM and has never got it back. She needs to continue with it.

I have always said this govt cant sell its message and rushes policy and decisions
They will win the next election because the sky wont fall in as Abbott has promised under a carbon tax and Hockey wont be able to provide a costing of Abbott's promises and keep a surplus

Probably and as much as I'd like to see her improve her public performances as a leader, it won't happen.

I would have more respect for it if they used "wanker" rather than "jerk off".

Aye, that's been a trick mastered by a few PMs (usually with the help of their deputy) but not so much by Opposition Leaders.
