I have been infuriated by the quality of Lib campaigning, both Federal and State, for a long time. Whichever pony-tailed pricks are advising them on their campaigns each need to be chocked up the arse with a dozen strands of barbed wire.
FFS, get down and dirty like the Pinkos do!!!

Refraining from treating the punters like gullible idiots who wouldn't know if their arses were on fire unless it was in 72 point on the front page of the LMPFSP, might be worth a shot as well.

They might have Overland albeit 7 years to late and at a potentially horrendous price.

Surely this is the end for Lisa 'hard-hat-zone-on-legs' Neville as well - she was Minister for Wallopery most of the time in question.

What about the minister who threw Overland under the bus? An RC is a high stakes game though will certainly distract from the red shirt crap.

In about the same way that Despicable Dave's involvement in Sandpapergate may have deflected scrutiny from DD sledging Q de K, yeah...Redshirt is to this cock-up what pinching a packet of PK from the 7-11 is to the Great Train Robbery.

Spent the first two hours after it broke alternating between fits of giggles, white hot anger and a certain sympathy due to the circumstances at the time.
Cock-up is nice understatement Fred.

Correction: not the Human Hard Hat Zone after all. Overland was sacked by Coalition Police Minister Peter Ryan. His Labor bosses were Bob Cameron and, ominously for the last six weeks before Brumby was given the mallee root, none other than Dsperate Dan's current right-hand man James Merlino.

Smart and really the only move Andrews could make.

Might be a bit hard to find a lawyer in Melbourne today as I imagine they'll all be camped out anywhere they can file.

rofl.
Worth reading the Age today for reasons other than the cryptic.
Might sit in some sessions of the RC when it gets going. Will be the best show in town.

Yes, and Saturday I may even read John Silvester first, instead of second after Greg Baum

Her boss - ie her real one, whoever got to strut up Lonsdale Street in the wig and gown while she carried his files behind him, whoever that may be, is most likely also finished on the 'if he knew he's a crook, if he didn't he's a fool' principle....and that will be a big name.

Oh she'd have to be a solicitor. The Brief would or rather could just act on info provided. Solicitors get all the good oil. The guy in the wig may have just been there on the cab rank principle.
Anyway it's the cops and the DPP who've farked up here.
Though this is supposition. Surely she's been outer in cyberspace.

There was a similar plot-line in the last Janet King....JK and her boss basically blackmailed a former Crownie into cosying up to their mark and reporting back anything interesting

Re: Trouble in Aus State Politics
State Governments sometimes get embroiled in odd disputes.
The current WA government is in hot water with the Lobster fishing industry over its efforts to make red lobsters more available and affordable for Wozzies.
The vast bulk of the WA catch goes overseas at prices twice that in Perth. The current and previous government has sought to improve availability and affordability with mixed results.
The current mob are now being clawed by the Industry for an agreement they all signed. The agreement increases the overall catch but sequesters a portion for Wozzie consumption. Both sides are ladling heaps of seafood cocktail mayo on their side of the argument.
Here is the story
What an absolute bisque LINK
Embee, do you know what the rough price of a WA red lobster fetches in Perth?
Japan remains a monstro market for WA lobsters. I expect the price of red lobsters will dramatically drop when the current Japanese emperor pegs out.
The last time an Emperor snuffed it the country went into a mourning period where the consumption of luxury foods like lobster was discouraged. Mourning lasted over a year.
While this will be bad for fisherman it will be a boon for Australians who will find the price of crays and lobsters is more than halved.

Re: Trouble in Aus State Politics
Depending on the size and where you buy from ....about $40 to $80
If you want some you learn to dive or befriend someone who can ...or befriend a crayfisherman
My sister served up crayfish on Xmas night which she had got from a fisherman friend
(We then caught some large marron from her lake which are still in the freezer)
Kelly is a union thug promoted way beyond his ability

Yum. I love Marron.
Prices are a little cheaper in Perth.
A long passed away mate was an oil rig diver. His own boat was tricked out with all manner of dive gear he said had passed its use by date in Bass Strait.
We would regularly score a Cray and abalone.
