Nice decision to round off the innings.
Think England have gotten Che Pujara 4 times in all cricket so far. Once in an U19 warmup, once in an U19 test, in Navi Mumbai and here.

So while we played santa clause to England bowlers last 3 wickets, 9 wickets to their spinners presents an interesting situation.

I can never understand the point of batting for 10 minutes and then going for lunch. Just hold it now and have an uninterrupted session.

For all he may be a dasher, Compton presently reminds me of a few English batsmen from the 70s and 80s, steady, focused, expected to grind their way to 35/40s.

This thread probably deserves a "how grouse is Test cricket" as well.

For a minefield, nice opening stand here.

All test cricket is grouse, no? Except possibly Bangle bowling.JGK wrote:This thread probably deserves a "how grouse is Test cricket" as well.
Not a minefield. The 2004 pitch was a proper minefield.baggygreen wrote:For a minefield, nice opening stand here.

So Shane Warne is commentating in India. Can't get a gig in Australia?

That's one way to take out Pujara.
Meanwhile, England batting very well.

Graeme Swann's the 29th player to score 1,000 and take 200. He's only the third Anglo to do so. He's one of the quickest to do so in terms of matches.

Warney will always go with who pays the most.

FMD that's amazing. Would have thought that Jimmy or Deadly at least would have been close.
Broad will get there within a year as well.

The ball is spitting here... one could bring three. Or five. 327 seems a long way off still.

It's the runs for the bowlers or the wickets for the batsmen. With this current side - it's difficult to get runs down the order because, until this year, our batsmen were scoring a lot of runs and declaring.

Jeez, Dan called it. Compton and Trott gone in quick succession. This IS only Day 2, right?? Dust puffing up everywhere.
Plumbest of lbws. Trott didn't even look up after being right back on his stumps.

It's a bit of a joke pitch. We let them off, should never had reached over 300. Now KP is in with 5 mins til tea.. oo err.

About 30 minutes ago one of the commentators said there's still a bit of turn in the pitch.

Pitch like this provides some good cricket. So less turgid an affair...

Chef's technique is excellent but even he's struggled to deal with a few that have spat at him.
