Gamer dies after 3 day marathon

"A man died after playing games in an Internet café in Taiwan for three days without a break. Doctors say it was over-exhaustion from an intense gaming binge, local media report.

Sadly, it seems the percentage of "illiterates" among under 25s (i-Gen) is higher than in the general populous. I'm astounded at the poor quality of writing (and spelling, which spellcheck normally hides) from the young sprogs coming through the ranks at work.

I blame the farkers in the various education departments who "wisely" decided that the way we Babyboomers/Gen-Xers were taught basic literacy was bogus and needed serious revision (e.g. Grammar?? What?? Phonics?? WTF??).

Of course, social media has only accelerated the problem with the Lazy-Gen's predilection for bastardised/shortened spelling of most words (and I don't mean acronyms).
