Lankans were never going to do it anyway. Their top order let them down.

Decent spell from Reeks. He has set the bar for his international career (if it has any legs). 3-32 off 10. Valuable.

Has never really been on since SL lost their fourth wicket and then had to consolidate. Ordinary batting display. Probably they erred in sending us in as the pitch has got slower as the day has gone on.

Given the injury to Beer, will D'oh's effort tonight put him in the frame for India?

Qunt finally gets a tailend wicket, getting Herod caught at deep square leg.

India's batsmen might not mind if he is. Would have to show a lot of improvement at test level to trouble them.
Even Moises is taking wickets here.

Frankly, I think he looks more likely than Elmer. I'd have him in the Test side, but maybe there's room for both.Big Dog wrote:Given the injury to Beer, will D'oh's effort tonight put him in the frame for India?

At least with a couple of albeit ordinary spinners in the quick men won't be worn out for the Ashes.
Ironic that we've done better without Clarke.

Thats what i was thinking. They'd have to take two spinners to India.

The amount of games your fast men play there is no reason for them to be burnt out.

All over. Series level after an Aus win by 30 odd runs.

Fairly ordinary match really. Lankans should have done better against a makeshift looking Aussie team.
