I know taips, I'd get chatted up and groped. It's why I don't go.

You realise, of course, tails, that Bundy was SRW's favourite drink. Enjoy the taste next time you sip one!!freddled gruntbuggly wrote:Bundy, please.

Never touched the stuff in my life - the smell alone is enough to put off any sane and sensible person.

Erm, then you have apparently deliberately mislead in stating your preferred poison.

I was simply pointing out that, this being Australia, Bundy is generally preferred to Bacardi. It's not my fault if people insist on reading what they want into what I say.

Fair do's tails. You know me, half a skin full of red at this time of night. Couldn't be bothered going back past the last page to catch the actual context of the conversation.

To be honest, skully, I do a fair line in deliberate misleading. No lies, but a lot of subtle misdirection. And sometimes I just can't be bothered to remove natural ambiguities . . .

To be honest we didn't get to do much as it p1ssed down for most of it...
Harbour Cruise for Oz day on a Cat was simply a brilliant party, managed to get to the OH, Bridge and the botanical gardens, visted the major beaches, and I think managed to hit 60% of the pubs from memory... Chinatown for Chinese new year was a giggle as well!!
And all that was whilst playing or being at 10 games of cricket..........

You have excellent taste, charlesie. It's a lovely place. Beautiful beaches, reliable summer weather (ie stinking hot all day, every day) . . . no VoR . . .

I find Adelaide has a polite and quiet charm to it. As long as it's not Footy night or there's a full moon out.holcs wrote:I have to say that Adelaide was my favorite of the cities/towns we visited!!!!

Aye,
Most of the lads thought the same. It definately does have a very quite charm to it, just enough bustle when it comes to nightlife, and generally very polite people!!!
Its also for a city actually quite qaint even in the centre......

Yup, and some very nice Ovals as well...... Although the standard wasn't what we thought it would be to be honest...
I have to say that apart from Cape town The Adelaide Oval is the nicest Test ground I've been too as well. Fantastic when empty....
Shame that the Casino wasn't very pleasant to our wallets, and that the Crazy Horse was a little bit of a let down!

I echo Skully's description of Adelaide - it's pretty indistinguishable from Mudgee.

Piffle. Mudgee isn't that close to the beach.

I always found Yass quite a lively place. The RSL had plenty of gummy talent lining the pokie hedgerows.JGK wrote:I echo Skully's description of Adelaide - it's pretty indistinguishable from Mudgee.
