Hey LLL, how closely do you follow Spanish football?

I'm just wondering what the hell is going on in Barca? class players throughout but still playing second fiddle?

I watch Barca a lot and some other matches when I can.

It's just not happening for us for a number of reasons. Madrid have a great side at the moment and can't stop winning. Something's happened to Ronnie. Sammy Eto'o has barely played for 2 seasons now. Henry is still fitting in and getting fit. Puyol has been missing nearly all season. Deco's form has dipped. Rijkaard insists on playing Gudjohnsen instead of giving Ronnie the games he needs to sort himself out. Marquez keeps getting injured. Rijkaard is blooding Bojan and Dos Santos who are still finding their feet in top class football.

Out of all of those things the four key ones are a) Madrid are class at the moment b) Eto'o needs to play all the time c) Puyol needs to play all the time d) Ronnie needs to sort himself out.

That said, there's still 15 games left and 8 points isn't insurmountable. We're still in the champions league as well.

Aye looks like a more pacier version of Beckham, won't be suprised if he moves to a bigger club in the summer.

He's not as good a passer/crosser/free kick taker as Beckham. But then hardly anyone is.

It'll be 1-1. Classic Arsenal - dominate, miss loads of chances to kill the game off, concede a late equaliser.

He'd play in the Arsenal first team now. He's ready.

What is he, 22? 23?

Perhaps he should've been a little more patient before demanding a move whilst still a teenager.

Kids, eh - they want it all, and they want it now.

Put your money where your mouth is. Put a tenner on the draw at betfair and you'll have 80 quid.

I've had a cheeky £2 on Blackburn given their performance over the last 20 minutes.

Got 8.6

Those are incredible odds given it's a 2 "horse" race - and given the fact that Blackburn are the Gooners bogey team!

Damn - my bookies shut - and I haven't got a bloody phone account!!

Adebayor earns my FF team a few more points. Sweet.

Sounded (Radio 5) like a crappy game - but 3 points in the bag against a tricky team.

Gunners 5 points clear at the top - but Stan Collymore (5 Live) still reckons Man U will win the title.
Oh well, it must be true!!

Well played Arsenal, not an easy game Blackburn pretty much matched them but nothing to show against goal, maybe deserved something from the game but Arsenal did well to grind it out.

Also takes a bit of pressure of them being 5 points ahead should be an interesting run in, faves imo.

They're not playing very at the moment, the Arse. Fabregas has gone right off the boil.

I think Robin Van Persie is a big loss to them at the moment. Like the song goes: you don't know what you've got til he's out for three months with a thigh strain.

And the late goal wipes out United's slight advantage in the goal-difference stakes.

I still think they'll win the title. Arsenal are too brittle.

A defeat at Old Trafford followed by a tonking by AC Milan, and this week could well knock them off their stride and into a wound-licking sulk which might prove terminal in the title race.

But it's better to be five points up than five points back...
