Re: The EPL thread (II)
Arsenal can barely string 2 passes together. United are all over them.

3-0. Arsenal in tatters. "Who are ya?" is the roar from the crowd.
Lehmann should have saved that last one.

Absolute bloody shambles?
Not surprised the ManU crowd are taking the p!ss.
Gooners being totally outplayed - and, as Hansen said at half time - there's only one team
showing a real hunger to win - and it ain't Arsenal!
Just hope Wenger let's it go and avoids the temptation to bring on big Addie ...
AC Milan beckon on Wednesday and that's a shed load more important game.

4-0. Rout. Nani and Anderson have been class.
Justin Hoyte has looked absolutely hopeless against Nani.

Nice to see 5 English players in the United side. Don't know how they managed to beat Arsenal without much talent though.

Re: The EPL thread (II)
4-0 it finishes then. Could have been 8.
Nani the best player on the pitch for me. Though the full backs, Hoyte and Traore were pretty poor. He must have beaten them 40 times.
Rooney, Anderson, Fletcher and Carrick were all impressive too.
Arsenal were always going to struggle after Eboue got sent off but it was already 3-0 by then anyway. I was away for the tackle and sending off and they didn't replay it. Everyone seems to think it was a shocker though.
Oh, and Lehmann was too slow and generally crap. Three of the goals were comfortably save-able.

Just seen the Eboue tackle. Didn't look as bad as some people are making out. Only saw one angle but he just seemed to jump and stick his leg out a bit. Didn't look intentional.

Re: The EPL thread (II)
Haha get in there, not really suprised United to lose twice in a row at OT? never gonna happen son, knew this was comming esp after last week.
Perfect example of how to play against the Arse close them down quick and don't let them pass the ball around, i think AC Milan would have picked up on this too.
Some concerns for Arsenal - Fabregas was cr@p and has been for a long time now, you can't come to OT like that and expect to win let alone draw.
Great to see Nani get under the Arses skin made them look very silly, even big mouth Gallas with his petulant kick at the end.
Rooney was superb but Fletch was my motd sublime performance, Unitedsyoung guns looked very promising - Anderson, Park, Nani. Ineteresting to see how the Arse react.
And to top it off the scousers lost, hahahahaha.
Bring on the title race.

Re: The EPL thread (II)
I know I'm going to go against the grain here, but if Arse get knocked out of the Champions league as well I predict they'll go on to win the title
As for Liverpool - pathetic
You've got 2 trophies left to play for and he puts out a weakened side FFS - the FA cup is well and truly dead as a competition.
But i'm sure as he's rotated all his star players they'll be fresh for the title run in!
Snigger...

He's had it coming though, Eboue - got away with some shockers in the last couple of seasons.
Re: The EPL thread (II)
Aye. He's a hot head.
If I were Fergie, I'd concentrate on winning the Champions League. It's the thing he wants the most. He knows that most truly great managers have won it more than once and he's even said so himself.
Though, with this squad, the treble is still perfectly possible.
I can't believe the Champs league is finally starting again next week. The break over Christmas is a massive one. I fancy Madrid or United.

This picture really freaked me out for awhile. I thought that the two players on the left were only one player, and was slightly concerned about how he had managed to twist his head 180 degrees.JKLever wrote:

Champions League last 16 - tonights fixtures
Liverpool v Inter
Olympiakos v Chelsea
Inter big favourites to go through with the bookies, not tempted myself - even though Liverpool are playing crap right now this is Benitez' competition. Can see Liverpool maybe squeaking through?

Got a feeling it might be Milan Blues year they have a very balanced side, it can go either way a big thrashing or a close win for Milan Blue.
And yes Figo still plays for them.
