Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XI)
Labor backbencher Joel Fitzgibbon has openly mocked his party's line in response to the latest round of dire opinion polls for the Gillard government.
When asked about the polls, which predict a landslide victory to the Coalition, on Tuesday, Mr Fitzgibbon – a Rudd backer – joked about Labor's usual dismissal of the polls.
''Hang on Kochie, I just brought a manual with me. I'll see what it says. It says I should say ''polls come and go, but the only poll that matters is on election day,''' he told Channel Seven, while reading from a sheet of paper.

Saw that. It was a more entertaining response to the latest polls than that fruity attention whore, Craig Emerson, gave. Fark it'll be grouse to see him kicked out on his arse come Sept 14.
And this is the Countdown thread.
And this is the Countdown thread.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XI)
In under 99 days the Aus Electorate will hopefully be freeing us of this heinous Pinko Govt.
Labor has been bringing up John Hewson losing the unlosable election in 1993 in desperate and forlorn hopes of a J-curve in their popularity numbers. But comrades, I have news for you, the Vulture ain't no Kunting.
Just look at the rock star welcome Krudd got at Geelong today.

No comments here yet on the tragic events over the last two days near Christmas Island. It sounds like a whole boatload of refugees have drowned this time.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XI)
Has my clock stopped again? No, there it goes.
89 days to go. Clock is ticking, Will the Pinkos beat the 59-days-before-the-Election-knifing-of-Krudd with the Vulture.
Ponts has correctly pointed out that when Krudd was knifed, the Election had not been called. The Vulture swooped in, drove the dagger in deep, and almost immediately called an election.
