Anna Burke blew up deluxe overnight about not getting a Pinko front bench position. Lots of gnashing of teeth about Victorian Left v Right factions.

There will no doubt be some enormous pressure being brought to bear on some other Sozzie pinko senator to quit.

“The pressure on the Labor party in the end to repeal this bill will be irresistible … we are giving the Labor party a chance to repent of its support for the carbon tax,” Abbott said at a press conference in Canberra after a meeting of his cabinet.

"Repent"? Seriously?

rofl...Oz continues to descend into one of the schlocko US airport potboilers...repent seems to be a consistent motif...the only question is who will Tom Hanks play in the movie - obviously not the MM...maybe Pyne....but if he put on 12 kilos he could make a decent role of Jo Hockey

Apparently the ALP are supposed to respect the mandate that the Australian people voted for at the election.

So why then did the Coalition not respect the mandate of the people after the 2007 election?

I don't think anyone voted against the Carbon Tax. They voted because they believed they were lied to about it.

You'd only expect Tony to have some fun with it seeing he's been handed the family platinum card.
