Australian TV in general is pathetic. To not have highlights of the Ashes series being played in your own Country is woeful.

30 minutes of cricket (if we're lucky) made up of half a dozen balls in between ad breaks. The same incident from each of 20 different angles. DRS referrals in real time the better to hear the pontifications of the talking heads. Advertised starting time accurate to within an Ice Age.

One hour is better than nothing, I suppose. I remember channel Four in the UK used to show half hour highlights of England's overseas tests, and 10 minutes of those half hours were taken up by Mark Nicholas prancing around some beach in Sri Lanka (or wherever) in his underwear.

I assume this time around it will be the same, except replace "some beach in Sri Lanka" with "Australian dressing room."
