Re: Aus Tennis Open 2014
Interesting to note that the most watched session of the tennis on Channel Seven was still below the ratings for all of the ODIs between Australia and England.

Did I hear on the wireless this morning that the NFL playoffs rated higher than the A League last week?

I wouldn't consider that "result" official without a steward's inquiry. My well-connected friends always told me Sharapova liked the ladies, although I suppose she could be bi.

A combination of the lack of a serious Australian contender, Federer being in decline, and Djokovic and Nadal not being that likeable/great to watch.

...and the fact that modern tennis is like T20 cricket. Its just boring baseliners with oversized racquets flailing at each other.
Re: Aus Tennis Open 2014
Roger wins the first set. The Scot has blown out to 4.1 which I've made a modest investment on.

A long time ago but I think the Hewitt/Safin final has ratings maybe second only to Cathy Freeman in the Olympics in the all time ratings records.

No chance for Murray now. Lock in a Federer-Nadal final.

Yeah. I heard Paul McNamee say that the other day. I certainly watched it.

So, lock in a Nadal-Stan final. Who is Stan playing in the semi final? Berdych?

Yeah Berdych.
Fed doing his best to let the Scot back into it.

This has been a pretty weak performance from the Scot.

Fed breaks in the 3rd and will serve for the match.
You can currently get 44s on the Scot on bet fair.

Ooh - 2 break back points for the Scot.
Should have taken those 44s. Now into 12s

Murray reminds me a bit of Anderson with that pained, saturnine expression he constantly wears.

Re: Aus Tennis Open 2014
I went to check my account and I was annoyed that they had not paid out my Federer bet.
Then I check the score and WTF happened. I go away for 30 mins and somehow Murray is back in the match?

Fark me I was so close to getting on Murray at 44s when Fed got the break in the 3rd.
I didn't see what the price was when Fed had 2 match points in the tie breaker.
