Crocinfo has a poll on who should the next English coach....Seems that Trashley is the people elect ...tho he does lag 20 points behind "someone else".

Peter Moores 11.75% 2049
Mick Newell 4.00% 697
Mark Robinson 6.47% 1128

Rather amusing Gashley leads the candidates other than someone else.

If Mark Robinson gets the gig, who replaces him on AFL 360?

Re: a suggestion for next pom coach
I don't think Robinson has been shortlisted. I don't want anyone connected to the previous regime - so Newell or Bayliss it has to be.

aaah, I see. This would explain the high vote for someone else....those cunning Banindians are voting for Greg Chappell to coach England

Steve James in the DT is the latest ex-cricketing hack touting Piles' credentials for the vacant England coaching job, claiming . . ." ...he has earned the right to take over the Test side too ..."

Bunch of f*cking qunts.
Nass: 'Don't blame the coach'.
No, of course not. Of course not. He's had 18 months in charge and has managed to lose over 60% of the matches he's presided over. Blame the 35+ players used in that time.
Many: 'People have short memories'
What, about the Champ's Trophy?
*England doing OK in English conditions shocka*
Stinks to the high f*cking heavens.
Unbelievable.

The verb to earn must have a different definition in cricketing circles.
Then again, Steve James probably thinks he "earned" his couple of atrocious England caps.

If we're not "blaming the coach" then what was the point of getting rid of Andy Flower? Or even hiring him in the first place? Evidently, coaches don't matter.
Which is weird, as I seem to recall Nasser and co piling into the coach and backroom staff during the Ashes sacrifice, among all the other mouth breathing and chin stroking at the inhumane slaughter.
My favourite Giles excuse has been "he's never had the best players to pick from".
He's a selector. He picked those squads. He was a vote in the three man firing squad that ended Pietersen's international career. Not having the best players to pick from was his own responsibility.
But of course, he's not really responsible for anything. As that would be blaming the coach. And blaming the selectors. And none of them actually do anything. Or even exist. They're just concepts. Until they're not.
Fire off another email, Monkey.

I'm done with e-mails. The next step is burning my message into the forecourt of the ECB headquarters.
I don't know where their HQ is. Narnia, probably.

Post them your underpants the day after you mistakenly thought "no wiper"
attach a CV to the undies as they've probably earned the right to be Ashley Giles

No wipers are a thing of the past. May have something to do with my alcohol intake. I won't ever know though, because I'm probably not going to stop drinking.
