Sri Lanka v South Africa, 2nd Test, Colombo, 24-28 July, 2014
Seems Fromberg is in the mood for Test threads.
This one is getting close. Can the little Lankans fire up against the big bad Stained Ostrich??
I'm betting no. no they can't.

Sri Lanka have called up someone called Niroshan Dickwella.
Jost on the name alone he should be a permanent member in the side….

Looks like AB is considering surrendering the gloves which could open the door for de Kock to display his wares.
Certainly has been a changing of the guard lately for SA.

So while I was driving to work, Steyn has caught Waqar and is closing in on Marshall.

Enough to have the Lankans in the shit again, but.

He is rather profligate. They were talking about four seamers before the match. Given that Tahir is effective in ODIs but expensive in tests, perhaps they should have gone with their strength, used Duminy as the spinner and played the extra quick.

A ton for Mahela. Has any batsman in history been so dominant at one venue as he has been at the SSC?

Have a look at this game. Take note of how many overs the spinner bowled, and particular notice of the opening batsman.

Well done to Jaya on a much needed ton for his side. And the Flange stood up yet again when his team needed him.

Decent comeback from the home side, notably Mahela.
But will their bowlers produce anything of note?

Apparently there is no spin but nothing in it for the quicks. It may be tougher to bat on later in the match.

At least he didn't bowl spinners to avoid a fine as one Aussie captain notably did. Didn't that cost Aus a series win?

Australia didn't bowl spinners - they bowled Hussey, and maybe Hauritz!

Saf getting well dicked by the new wickie now!
He'd better watch out he doesn't get caught by De Kock.
But Mahela finally goes, run out - daddy ton over before he can turn it into an Amlaish grandaddy.

only 25 overs in the session....surely it is time for the umps to give laggard fielding teams the hurry up...there was only one wicket in the session and Tahir and dumpy bowled a lot of overs....maybe Amla shd be given a holiday
Cook is the worst offender in international cricket but all are guilty of slowing play down when the batting side is on top
