England Lions to face SL A and NZ A in 4 "ODIs"
James Taylor (Nottinghamshire, capt), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Ravi Bopara (Essex), Steven Finn (Middlesex), Stephen Parry (Lancashire), Harry Gurney (Nottinghamshire), Alex Hales (Nottinghamshire), Craig Overton (Somerset), Jason Roy (Surrey), Ravi Patel (Middlesex), Tom Smith (Lancashire), James Vince (Hampshire), David Willey (Northamptonshire)
Coached by - get this - Andy Flower. I suppose the ECB have to find something for him to do to justify keeping him on the wage bill, but it's a bit weird all the same.
Tom Smith. Crumbs.

David Willey eh? Hardly taken a wicket, hardly made a run. What a brilliant time to pick him...
Re: England Lions to face SL A and NZ A in 4 "ODIs"
Ravi Patel but no Adam Riley?
I'm pleased for Willey, but his selection is based on potential rather than delivery. He looked totally out of sorts last night.

Ravi Patel bowled very well tonight. He looks promising.
And i'm not just saying that as a fellow Patel.

Ravi P bowled beautifully. Albeit on a wicket taking some serious spin.
Meaker - who also bowled excellently - bowled Morgan with a slower ball that must've ragged a foot or so.

There's a lot to like about his bowling, flight, drift, spin - you name it, it was on display last night.

Re: England Lions to face SL A and NZ A in 4 "ODIs"
Finn's call up for the 4th Test has led to him being replaced in the Lions squad by, erm, Boyd Rankin.
You might remember him from such Test debuts as "wow, he's f*cking hopeless" and "oh, he's off with a psychosomatic hamstring injury again".
Would've thought his card had been marked, torn up and set on fire, but apparently not.

He could tell some cracking jokes which I think is just a little bit more important than cricketing ability, Dello.Dello wrote:Finn's call up for the 4th Test has led to him being replaced in the Lions squad by, erm, Boyd Rankin.

Rankin?? Really?? FFS. Do they honestly think he's a chance to play for England again?

James Hildreth (Somerset, captain) Nope never given a chance by anti-Somerset selectors
Jimmy Adams (Hampshire) Nope was never good enough
Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire) Tried. Failed shit
Ravi Bopara (Essex) Tried. Failed talented by frustratingly inconsistent
Danny Briggs (Hampshire) Tried. Failed might come again in the future
Maurice Chambers (Essex) Nope was never that crash hot
Jade Dernbach (Surrey) Tried. Failed f*cking shit
Steve Finn (Middlesex - first half of tour only) Up and down will come again
Andrew Gale (Yorkshire) Nope might be a half decent stop-gap England captain if we need one.
James Harris (Glamorgan) Nope was always rubbish.
Craig Kieswetter (Somerset) Tried. Failed might come again
Adam Lyth (Yorkshire) Nope might get a chance soon
Liam Plunkett (Durham) Up and down always talented, might be starting to fulfil potential
Adil Rashid (Yorkshire) Tried. Failed might get another hands soonish
Ben Stokes (Durham) Up and down will come again
James Taylor (Leicestershire) Tried. Failed might get another chance. Need as good as the hype, and England know it.
Chris Woakes (Warwickshire - second half of tour only) In progress. Struggling might become reasonable, might stay mediocre.
Big success.

You'd think so, but he actually seems like a normal person. Vanilla. Or whatever the person of Asian lineage equivalent of vanilla is. Probably vanilla.

FFS, Rankin replaces the promoted Finn in the Lions squad. Have they lost the NTPFEA stamp?

Vanilla? He'd be using the whitening creams then.
Not like any brown skinned male or female here in India would ever do that.

Cool - slather it on me schlong. It may get a bit hard, but if you slather it for long enough, it's likely to go soft again.
