Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
Despite her fierce reputation in the field, Julie Bishop's 'regard' appears to be a calm and measured gaze by comparison with that of Hanson-Young, who increasingly impresses as a rabid bunny-boiling loony with an unmatched unblinking death stare.

I would love to see the reaction if Morrison dared to personally insult her
You mean like calling her "simply grubby"?

The MM's popularity has reached the Gillard nadir according to newspoll. Even Bolt is getting stuck into them...apparently he shredded the attack poodle yesterday

So in the last couple of the days the PPL and the Co-payment have been dumped (although variants will live on it seems).

Just the unies to go. A means tested co-payment wasn't a bad idea. Nor would be spending the PPL on child care. He may yet fix this up for the next guy (or girl) yet.

cannot unpick the past S...the filth that was Krudd and Gillard of course were dire but not as outright stoopid as the MM and his mates...when the top end of town is whinging (like an requited Taips meerkat) that their boys could not find a beer in the brewary the brownsa and brownie fans are in strife

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
You know it's not just that the latest fix has been widely pillloried. It's that there was no reason for it.
"Look boys and girls, we've listened to you and the co-payment in it's existing form is no more. But give us some time here. We're going to take a couple of months to look at it properly and hopefully have a more acceptable form by the time of Parliament's resumption"
But oh no. Announce the backflip Sunday (not sure I've been sailing since last Wednesday) and the new policy Tuesday.

...and already it is being rejected...these twerps know zilch about the health system....Health Minister Duddon may go down as the worst Health Minister in history since a certain adviser to the Csar. The terrible thing is this ageing in bred pte school boy does not have even the wit to understand this

Is there any "solution" for the Health system that might actually work?

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
Health system is mainly fine...we - unlike most OECD countries, spend less than 10% of GDP on health services (govt and individual spends)...yet we have a universal platform enabling rich and poor alike access to services when they are in strife...quality of hospital and primary health care stands up well too against international benchmarks.
Our problem is partly ideological...the brownies loathe universal platforms .... both Libs and Labs have persisted with the dud policy setting of subsidizing pte health insurers (the unproductive leeches on our system)

I'm highly amused that you seem to be assuming that deadhead Shortarse will be any better than Krudd and the Vulture. He's a drip and will be as bad if not worse than his former Pinko dills.

He'll be better than Krudd who was a pathological qunt. Shorten is ambitious but he has some principles.
