Malik was not re-signed for this year’s Big Bash, with England’s Alex Hales and West Indian Darren Sammy recruited, while it was also the last time Doug Bollinger (Sydney Sixers), Aiden Blizzard (Sydney Thunder) and Ben Laughlin (Adelaide Strikers) would don the purple.

However, Hales’s availability is in doubt after he was selected for England’s 50-over World Cup squad.

Wright said should Hales but ruled out, Malik was a chance to return
Tasmanian Mercury.

Just how bad are South Australia?

They allowed Josh Hazlewood to take 7/36.
Hazlewood. He is absolute rubbish.

......... and then they let Nic Maddinson hit 84 off 54 balls. When he was dismissed, NSW were 2/104 so he dominated the scoring.

For SA, Callum Ferguson made 82.

Actually, i just checked the TV coverage. SA misses three games. Vic,Tas,WA & Qld miss two games & NSW only misses one game.
CA are just treating everyone with contempt with this comp.

Best result the warriors can hope for

Not many runs scored on the first day of wozzie grade cricket

No scorchers (or Trav Birt) or matador cup players played

79 was the top score for the day

Ty Hopes (Olly Cooley winner two seasons ago) took 6 wickets, including a hatrick in his first over ...the hatrick wicket was his 300th grade wicket ...he told the batsman it was going to be a wrongun , it was and he still bowled him

Is that a Courier Mail article copied and pasted by Fox Sports? It's written by that attention-seeking idiot Ben Dorries to who Pietersen replied, "Excuse me, who are you?" when Dorries asked a shit, provocative question at a press conference in Brisbane during the Ashes. "Quality" journalist.....

"big mouth Kevin Pietersen"- Objective

"England reject Pietersen"- Objective

"Walking ego Pietersen"- Objective

"Pietersen despises Flower, and will take him down as much as he can."- Oh yeah? Have you read a preview of the book when no one else in the world has?

"Pietersen will also heavily patronise England captain Alastair Cook, claiming the one-time choirboy is soft and weak and a woeful choice to lead England."- Oh really? He'll say those exact words? Or has Ben Dorries just made that up there and then on the spot? Because he's the worst sports journalist in Australia?
