He can sound like a psychotic axe murder AFAIC, as long as he's taking wickets (maybe for Aus).

I reckon Dorf is pretty good. Saw him in the BBL last year at the SCG and he was taking wickets bowling red ball length. Hits the pitch hard too.

Will PNG be able to field Pakistani and Sri Lankan asylum seekers?

They might be too malnourished and beaten up to play, mind....

Or perhaps it's the latest Australian Government ultra-cruel asylum seeker deterrent- Come to Aus by boat, and you will be held in inhumane conditions, and be forced to face Mitchell Johnson at full tilt.

I didn't realise there was a round of Shield matches starting today. It will be interesting to see if Rhino can find some form.

Hughes out for 7 so he hasn't helped his chances of making the team for the 1st test.

Century for Joe Burns. I have always thought that Joe could become a useful test batsman so this innings might propel him into the team. He has a career average of over 40 unlike many of the other contenders.

Century to Callum Ferguson, his second for the Shield season. It might be enough for him to get a gig in the first test. Previously, he had a bit of a reputation for scoring fifties but not turning them into three figures.

Ferguson is an FTB. And even on flat pitches he doesn't always cash in.

Peter Forrest has struggled today. His 86 not out has come with a strike rate of 35.54. Fortunately Joe Burns was striking at 71.76 during their long partnership.

Crap day for Australian spinners.

Good news about Burns though. But with Ferguson getting a ton I reckon he might be getting close to next in line. Sadly.
