Am enjoying reading this. It is bringing out the best in FB wit and creative thinking.

http://ibnlive.in.com/news/cricketnext/kevin-pietersen-blames-andy-flower-for-choking-england/504821-78.html

And KP has launched a fresh attack upon Flower.

Not quite my genre but whoever plays the sunglass- wearing syborg in the Terminator movies has to be Graeme Swann.

He wasn't quite right for the role when he was alive, but now he's active enough to do Chris' famous fitness justice.

And as for Punter's opinion - if there was ever an expert on being bullied by an England cricket team he is right up there!

Unsurprisingly, Andrew Strauss has come out and backed Andy Flower....

"A lot of this that's going on at the moment is madness," Strauss told Sky Sports. "There's been a lot of rumour, innuendo and opinion. I prefer to stick with the facts. All this tit-for-tat stuff, I don't think really helps the England cricket team.
"The victim here really isn't Kevin Pietersen, or Andy Flower or Matt Prior or anyone; it's actually the England cricket team and Alastair Cook and Peter Moores who've got to try to take the side forward. That, to me, is the disappointing thing about this whole episode."

http://www.espncricinfo.com/england/content/current/story/788303.html

Wildly hypocritical stuff from a man who lowered himself down to the same level by calling Pietersen a "c*nt" live on air earlier this Summer.

Andrew Strauss, fairly predictably, goes in to bat for Flower and Prior.

(nicked off for single figures after the bowler came around the wicket)

Hmm. None. But it's in the link....Oh wait...I forgot to put the link there....Hmm.  Not a great five minutes of forumming all-round. The point is- Strauss doesn't have a leg to stand on after c*nt-gate.

And then we come back to KP falling out with every (repeat, every) side he's ever played for. They ain't all wrong. The trouble is - that it's that baggage which will debase any valid criticism of the current England hierarchy. Result? - everything carries on in much the same way as it did before.

I just wonder where all the man-management skills went. If you read Nasser's autobiography, it's a wonderful insight into the different ways he handled Gough, Caddick, Tufnell, Thorpe...all very different personalities.

With this current England side, it seems to be a case of "this way or the highway"....otherwise known as the 'Ray Illingworth method'.....And look at the results it's producing on the field....

Moores has talked a lot about reconnecting the side with its supporters, but I have yet to see any evidence. I don't want to see any of them doing Celebrity Big Brother, but the occasional interview without agents , managers and sponsors in tow would be a start.
