Would you really happily be defamed "JGK for sale, corrupt" in a Fairfax paper for 200K?

Shorten appears in front of the RC tomorrow.
Might be a chance at a cheeky wager on someone else leading the ALP the next election.

Another LNP witch hunt with the RC
Meanwhile, they are critical of anyone who dares think differently to them.
Ray Martin urged to stand down from Q&A review.
Now if Ray Martin was critical of Tony Jones, then their would be no issue as it matches the modus operandi of the LNP.

Ray Martin urged to stand down from Q&A review.
Television veteran Ray Martin is facing calls to step down from an editorial audit of the ABC's Q&A program, after he described a government boycott of the program as "silly" and backed the impartiality of host Tony Jones.
Martin said on Tuesday that some of the "rants and raves" following former terror suspect and convicted criminal Zaky Mallah's appearance on the program had been "crazy".

Because nothing to hold against him.
And to think they took $80million from the Child Abuse RC to go after Shorten.

Martin's comments were criticised by Coalition senators James McGrath and Ian Macdonald, both critics of the ABC.
Senator McGrath said: "I think he should step aside. His comments make him appear to be an apologist for Q&A rather than someone who will conduct an independent review."
Senator Macdonald said: "Ray Martin has respect in the community but these comments make you question whether he is the right person to conduct an independent review.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
In regards to Bill and the RC
More legal technicalities around signatures, approvals, processes, he said/she said. The people gunning for him the most, Gracie et al, seem to be setting themselves up for disappointment. With his eye in the Lodge since he was in nappies there is no way he was going to allow any dirt to stick with anything he did or said.
Personally I think they drastically overestimate (as distinct from Turnbull who believes you can both underestimate and overestimate the same thing[another issue]) the ability of a young head to stay ahead of the game in an organisation of really old and really hard heads.

Ta.
MacDonald would be better off leaving this issue alone and attacking the ABC on legit grounds. Waste of money in duplication, featherbedding in Melbourne and Sydney and skirting the edge of it's charter in regards to regional Oz.

LOL @ Bill Shortarse's rambling RC appearance. The Commissioner rated him an unreliable witness and he spent the whole time acting surprised and shocked at the grim details of the agreements he brokered and signed. What a farken despicable lying grub, and an indictment on the Union movement and Labor Party. Alas for the Pinko Lefties, it's the only sort of leader you seem capable of producing these days.

I especially liked his attempt at diversion by explaining the mechanics of the mushroom farming industry. Bring on a new leader and govt and an RC into turnback, kiddies overboard and the Howard family plantation.

What a farkin lightweight Shorten is. Welcome to the real world, Bill, not the cloistered world at the head of the Vic & Aus AWU.
