Actually, there probably needs to be an episode when Sansa gives birth as well. Maybe that will come right at the end which will set it all up nicely for the "Sons of the Bastards" sequel series set 20 years later.

UPDATE: The US publishers of The Winter Winds have revealed that no release date has been announced for the book.
Random House told EW: "As his publisher, we support George RR Martin as he works hard to finish The Winds of Winter. Any on-sale dates currently listed online for the novel are incorrect. Once we have a publication date for The Winds of Winter, the world will know.”

I suspect something is happening. The ISBN is registered and the TV series has been pushed back. Time will tell

GoT returns July 16
"HBO announced the seventh season of the fantasy epic will premiere on July 16, about two months later than usual. The news — as well as a new teaser video — was revealed during a Facebook Live event on Thursday, in which fans tuned in to watch a melting block of ice, which eventually revealed the date after about an hour.
The new season is set to be seven episodes, compared to the usual 10, as Game of Thrones plots its end game. HBO had previously said the debut would be pushed back from its traditional April debut to summer due to production constraints."

7 eps? Booo.

Just rewatched the last episode. Given the number of deaths it is amazing how many have survived from the first couple of episodes
Bring it on.

At least he has four other writers to help him with this one.

Not quite. There are still two (albeit abridged) seasons to knock everyone off.

Rumors are that the final season episodes will be movie length.
Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
When I was on here before, I was a "sweet summer child" who "knew nothing" (Jon Snow) about this show... eventually got around to seeing what all the fuss was about and was hooked on it in one episode, and watched it all up to date within a few months.
I'm now re-watching some of the classic episodes (basically episode 9 of every season!) before the big return. Watching them knowing what comes next, you pick up on the significance of a lot of things that passed you by originally... anyway, should be a few epics to make up for the shorter season this time (and next). I suspect there's still only three people in the world who know how the whole thing ends.

The hot chick with the dragons wins, marries Snow after he kills everyone she missed, the whole world is united and together they move Westeros towards a functioning multi-party democracy with a free press and labour unions.
